I'm going to say I'm a Lifetime subscriber, I was in for 5 minutes and then booted out, and am now getting the perpetual "Connecting to Account Server" message when I try to log in.

So.. it's not just a grace period thing.

I made a ticket on Feb 2, but Billing apparently has a queue of 5 days. I cannot try to go through the subscription process again because the discount version of the 12-month sub is no longer availabe.

I paid. I entered a retail key. I entered payment details when ordering the 12-month sub. Contacting billing has been tried and failed. I do not live in the US or UK so calling them isn't an option.

Now what, Cryptic?

This is the state of my account after entering my retail key on the 2nd.

Activated Features

* Star Trek Online Closed Beta
* Wrath of Khan Admiral's Uniform
* Star Trek Online Del Taco Promotion B
* Star Trek Online - Preorder
* Star Trek Online Del Taco Promotion D

Subscriptions

My key SHOULD have activated my license, allowing me to activate my subscription and play.
HOWEVER, it hasn't. It's taken the key, but not activated a license. As you can see under my Subscriptions header.
I submitted a billing appeal on the 2nd, and have yet to have a response. Not a good start for something that cost me nearly 100 to import from the US.
So yes, i need to activate my key to play, but i already have... next excuse?

I have the exact same issue, entered my retail key on the 2nd and it took the key, but failed to activate my license for the product.

GameStop tells me to contact Cryptic, Cryptic tells me to contact GameStop. So I have no idea what to do, it is the same as if someone just took my money and ran away with it. Technically I have not received the product I paid for.

I am not impressed.

I think the solution for the previous two posters is to create a ticket with billing support.
