i know they cry about it, i knew it already when i saw in OB a carrier. I knew it then that this day would come and i asked for player target button in OB and in prelaunch.

But whats happened, nothing.

---

But now i must point out that 5 players alpha against a target that is clumsy and big and slow and not able to cloak... basicly needs the small "not able to target" thing. Think about it, we cant use cannons as we cant turn well, so we choose some 250 arc cr ap weapons and then we launch fighters.

Well the fighters job is to keep the enemy away or at bay, so basicly if you mistakenly target a fighter, well, the fighter has done its job. (or shield drone).

I had the same problem when i played Fedballs that lay like 50-80 mines around and just stay inside the ball, it wasnt a big issue to target the guys and when one of us got target, we all got a target (premade, select targets target).

Federation PvP: Get in the pile and wait to be screwed. Sounds pretty fruity to me.
This forum doesn't come with a tissue dispenser. If you need your momma's skirt, we'll be here when you get done wiping your eyes.

There's plenty of good feds, you just ain't one of em.

My intuition says me the feds gonna cry about FvF when they finally get it. I think it has nothing to to with the big invisible gankforce.

That's okay, it's star trek, the Klingons have that as their defining schtick, so I knew what I was getting into. My experience in EVE has made me understand the roles of ECM, ganking, tackling, misdirection, and how to react when your ship is disabled. Simply put though, STO's pvp is far too fast.

Case in point, in all my tier 3 PVP matches, every single cruiser has reverse shield polarity, which is a neat skill with a rather restrictive cooldown, giving partial immunity for oh... All of six? Maybe nine seconds? Best ability ever, because under focus fire, six to nine seconds is far longer than you'd ever live without the ability to ignore energy damage, the healing is merely icing on the cake.

I'll confess, I'm used to getting the warning "Hey captain, you're being targetted, sucker! >" for the 4-5 second duration it took to lock something in EVE before the **** hit the fan. Maybe my reactions are slow, but in STO, the first indication I'm ever being shot at is usually "X arc shields failing". Which suprised me at first, until I figured I could do the exact same thing to a klingon cruiser with a single shot of beam overload at broadside.

Red alert, damage control! Where are my armor hardeners, aggh torpedoes! Death follows almost instantly, staved off maybe a second or so if I manage to get engineering team triggered and frantically spam the "Reinforce X-shield arc" key while trying to hit every kinetic damage resistance buff I have, to the point where the global cooldown of 1 second between activating buffs and BOFF powers is contributing to failure.

Ground PVP is slower than ship PVP. This is wrong, IMO, if I wanted to react this quickly in a cruiser, I'd play soul calibur as Astaroth, or something.

Edit: I forgot, ECM (viral matrix) is death. Being unable to target or fire for 20 seconds was bad enough in EVE, being unable to activate *defensive modules* in addition to this, combined with STO's speed, is certain death. I am aware (and use) the counter, it works, but it is not useful enough that it will save you from dying if you happen to get caught without pre-empting it first.
Hah... Beam OL really mess up my BOPs shielding, before Feds started using it I could uncloak at 5k (solo against 2-3 Feds), unload all I could into an escort until they died, spin around hit evasive and battlecloak.. 1 kill and my shields never dropped below 50%.. I mean.. Now, I get in range, and my shields drop to 0.. I have to start out by popping shield heals.. I rather like T2 PvP, freaking hard for Klingons, but rather that, than the easymode level playingfield PvP in T3+

Ive seen some pretty darn good Feds.. And Ive seen some that aint good, but capitalize on the Fed T2 advantage, and spew forth crap like "L2P Klingons" "Our superior tactics and equipment owns you" when they win... One particular Sci Captian did that, until I ran into him a couple of games after without his cruiser buddies, think his team had 2 kills and he had 8k damage that game

Ive also seen pretty pathetic Klingon pilots.. I mean we sit 3 guys at 7k range from the Fedball, and they come in full impulse and decloak... Starting out the match by -1 or so is really enjoyable /sigh

Klingons aren't OP. Tier 2 science ship( fed side) avg 100-200 k damage a game and from 30-100 k heals. I have no issues take one 1-3 klingons at the same time. Learn to play the game first, mange your power settings and weapon arcs. ALot of NOOB klingon use cannons so easy with a phaser build to get out of the 45 o Degree arc and **** face.

I said it before and will contiune to say it, its due to solo minded people and their builds. LIke 5 % of the feds I fought with cross shield, extened shields etc etc. God if i see a fellow fed ( when Im playing the easy mode side) gettig focused I heal his ass for two reason.

1. While he alive and being focus THEY WONT SHOT ME) = I can do damage and not get shot back.
2. THe longer someone can stay alive the more damage they can do = win.

Last night I out healed have the damage done by the klingon team which = win.
