Really, really irritating. Anyone got a fix? The hull only appears to "flicker", when the ship is moving. Also, lights flicker at certain angles.

Any graphics setting (including Default)

Did not have this problem in Beta with an 8500GT.

Anyone got any ideas?

I've got the same card (9800) and I'm having the same issues. The hull textures seem to ripple at times... mostly in sector space. Also, I'll lose beam and shield effects if too many effects are happening on screen at once (which is REALLY disorienting since I can't tell what's happening during combat.)

what's odd is that this isn't a constant thing, but it happens mostly in Deepspace Encounters.

Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit

I've only been noticing this very recently

It's very noticeable in Sol--the rippling textures on the hull, and only occurs when you're moving (IE, impulse is engaged). I've played with all the filtering options. I figured it had something to do with me having a somewhat lower-end CPU by today's standards (Even tho it was $700 4 years ago..Lol), but like I said, it didn't occur with my 8500GT in beta (I bought the 9800GTX+ for retail)..

Also, phaser beams seem to be somewhat blocky and fuzzy..but that could be for a different thread..

Figured out that turning shadows down to low is a work-around. A crappy work-around, but a work-around.

Still getting the flickering lights and stuff.
