# 1 Admiral Melee Weapons?
02-10-2010, 05:29 PM
Just hit Admiral and it seems like there are no better melee weapons other than MK VI (ds9).

Also they are all common, so they never seem to give any bonus at all .
I like the concept of having a saurian melee focused tactical bo with stealth kit and lunge III though...

Did i miss something? Or did cryptic forgot to add "endgame melee weapons" ?

If you're fed you're intended to use open hand melee.
KDF gains access to various bat'leths from medal vendors etc as a special feature.

Yes you can, as long as you didnt bound the item to one char, and as long as the item is useable by both sides (most item does, it seems that only BOs are useable from their original faction), you can check it in the item tooltip.

So far i didnt tested it for melee weaps, but if the item is useable by both sides, then its ok.

If this was the case then fed unarmed melee would have more kinds of martial arts attacks and improved damage from unarmed h2h combat.

Unarmed combat DOES have a combo system builtin with various special effects and differences from the Bat'leth.
Likewise you DO get tactical kits and other abilities that make your melee better, your unarmed melee. This is as intended and is a part of factional flavour, devs even spoke about it in an interview or two if you care to dig for it.

And yes you can mail over whites, the greens from the medal vendor are bind on pickup, so no those cannot be mailed.

You can get a Bat'leth from DS9 at Commander.

I use one in Combat all the time, it's excellent.
