Brought up some good points there Zautin.

Never thought about the buff/debuff/healers cd's and using that to the attackers benefit.

I will attempt to use that tomorrow when the servers are back up.

The fedball is not really a big problem if you just dont shoot the cruisers.
Yea I know, "who would be stupid enough to shoot at the tank?". Well, ive seen PvP since beta in this game and trust me, there are still morons out there who target and shoot the cruisers and then die horribly. Over, and over, and over, and over again.

They must be undercover feds?

Get in, gank the escorts, get out, repeat. Win.

I generally target specific pilots regardless of the ship they're piloting. If you're generally speaking I would say yes, attack the escorts they'll tear up your shields. However, if you've done a reasonable amount of PVP then you begin to remember exactly what pilot has which abilities and they're proficiency with said abilities. In witting this I find myself thinking of the Feds with RSP, FBP, VM and so on... I wonder if this is a sign I'm playing to much? =p

Mostly yes target escort first, but as previously said we know certain players and their addicted abilites. Example quite a few feds know i only fly a BoP with every slot sci BoFF, manned for sending a fedball into chaos (not through VM). So if i run into someone who knows me they sit and wait while other klingons decloak and attack. Soon as i pop out Bam im nailed by him and the rest of the feds. Counter to this though in a normal FvK where i can play my game straight up it starts like this.

Target escort, all attack. Escort pops RSP and recieves extend....i switch to extend user pop subnuc, rest of team stay on escort. Next cruiser tries to heal, well at that point i just put every major bit of damage into their sides to politely dissuade them from healing, they evasive out back to escort if not dead.

From all I have seen a PuG pvp match needs to team up not fly lone wolf, of most of these matches 38% are win (rough calculation) vs a fed ball pug or pickup. Once their teamed up things like keeping the Alpha attacked teammate healed becomes easier for the sci/eng and in the mean time the sci can do what they do best drive the fed ball insane with locks, power drains, arcin and confuses.

Scramble Sensors wreaks havok with healing

If a guy is receiving Extend Shields AND popping RSP - guess what - the ship that is extending his shields cannot pop RSP for 20 seconds - more than enough time to focus him into oblivion.

Wow Mystery man, "Here i come to post absolutly nothing!"

Dude why not enlighten the guy with your "better overall tactics" eh?

I'll just post ahead of time, if by chance anyone suggests the whole "zomg decloak burn burn - run away!!!"( Like a (insert inappropriate word for coward)) tactic, that it is a complete waste of time. If you like long stupid matches of fail by all means try it.

While you might win, and succeed in getting the forums spammed with feds crying nerf about battle cloak.

Its much more fun to gank the hell out of the feds in thier face 15-0 and get them to cry on the forums about how op we are. Then you get to come here and tell them they have more hp and better gear and still get rick rolled.

Wow ok , yah i generally don't respond to this type of thing but i have too, first off sub nucing a guy who just extended dude doesn't kill the extend. You're wasting the best cc ability in the game unless you intend to switch all dps to the healer immeadeatly (who cannot reverse for 15 seconds after using extend).

So anyway a more valid tactic is to have everyone load beam target subsystem shields on your primary, lawlnomnom when thier shields fall and dude doesnt think to go full shield power thus leaving thier shields offline for plenty of time to watch them explode in a glory fedfireball.

In which case targeting a science vessel first can be of use.

Either way opening up on an escort will 95% of the time result in seeing the green, telling your dps to stay focused on him weather he recieves an extend or not is pointless.

If its glowing green with more than 10% Hull - don't shoot it, unless you can kill thier shields.

There is a lot experience will teach you as you go on, but i can't let the OP be blindly misled to things that are simply not sound tactics.

You should listen to Zautin. Whenever I end up in a match with him I can pretty much go afk and we'd still win.

I'd urge you to go afk as to not feed the Fed kill count.
