Just got a call from the Visa fraud center.
Someone last night and today tried to put a total of 380 dollars worth of product on my credit card through Gamestops digital site. I ordered my DDE through them!!
Check yourself and make sure no "extra" purchases are being put on your card.
Edit: Contacted GS and found out that the purchase was made online from Illinois via GS's online store. Whom ever it was tried to buy a PS3 and a copy of Assassins Creed 2. Sorry buddy- been cancelled.
I'm safe. I used PayPal, and I delete my account/debit card associations from PayPal until I make a purchase. So if anybody were to try to buy something PayPal would, as Khan would say, "Let them eat static!"
Thanks for the heads up Roach. This kind of thing happens every now and again where you'll get a disgruntled employee try to steal CC numbers thinking they can get away with it. When I worked at a restaurant a few years ago, one of the hostesses who worked the take-out side got nabbed for stealing CC numbers and racking up charges.
It can happen anywhere and everywhere people use their CCs so it is important to stay on top of your activity.
