IN many captain missions we see them one again allied together, I may have missed some sort of back story here but I just can't see how that could happen?

For those that do not know in the end the Cardassians rebelled causing the Jem'Hadar to start genocide on the general population. Millions were killed, entire cities were turned to rubble... so how could they possibly reforge any alliance?

Most Cardassians hate the Dominion. Some cling to an absurdly rosy view of the "glory days" of their history and want to make a return to that a reality (very much shades of Fascism's rise to power in broken post-WWI Germany). The latter are the ones we're fighting.

they seem to be allied again because they are members of the true way, a zelus faction of the old cardassian government.

Ah thanks for explaining, still pretty far fetched being what the Jem'Hadar did to their homeworld and the fact Jem'Hadar preach loyalty & victory... and been betrayed... so this "alliance" with whatever faction still wouldn't go for it... but whatever.

WEAK!!!

Hypocrisy appears to be the one trait common to all sentient life in Star Trek.

Also, in many respects Jem'Hadar almost 'dont count' in terms of being life forms. They're bred the same way you might breed a pack of dogs, just these dogs fly ships and fight for you. They'll fight for whoever they're programmed or ordered to fight for.

Kinda like the Dominion allying with them when the Cardassians tried to destroy their homeworld maybe? Or if you would prefer real world examples (US and Japan, Germany and the rest of Europe, etc.).

Most important, it's just science fiction.

Its been stated, by the Jem'Hadar themselves, that many species - including their Vorta 'handlers' - greatly misunderstand & underestimate the Jem'Hadar. They fight for their gods (Founders), and are capable of independant action, even mutiny, but they're not mindless drones. If anything, they epitomise professional soldiery. They serve their country (Dominion/Founders), not their politicians (Vorta). Sure, they are genetically engineered to obey the Founders (and bound to them by White), but at the end of the day, it's their dedication to duty that keeps them at the Founders' side.

Well if you remember in DS9 the Dominion created Alpha Quadrant Jem' Hadar to combat the Alpha Quadrant threats. They stayed back and well the True Way doesnt like the federation and the Alpha Jem' hadar are bitter about their defeat too. Kind of makes sense but it is a long shot too given how DS9 ended.
