GREAT thread.

Any FPS as I'm a God. More "people against people" than blowing up Halo type aliens, but still.

If I had to say?

Original and sequel...

Baulder's Gate, Icewind Dale and PlaneScapes.

All three had simply play, moderate to "okay" graphics....and storylines and characters like no other. Those games contained a magic that *very* few can claim.

For FPS? System Shock II. Hands down.

I liked Star Trek Voyager Elite Force as well. Have you played the sequel Star Trek Elite Force II?

How could I forget Baldur's Gate 2?
...And Galactic Civilizations/Sins of a Solar Empire/Empire Earth? I'm a bit of a RTS junkie.

Before EFII was released, the company making it contacted the company I worked for back then to benchmark the ded server and the multiplayer side of the game. After testing it rather deeply and getting many changes made in game, they released the game with around 80% of the bugs left in it. I uninstalled it.
STV:EF was a GREAT game when it came out. Awesome maps, awesome weapons, awesome models. The multiplayer game had roughly 2 years of real community life and that's a long time for an FPS title. Shame the screwed the multiplayer part of the second episode...

No, it's cool. I remember pointing it out at a store and my brother snagging it. It must have been a fantastic game because I never saw it AGAIN.

That is correct!
This is a Triumph. Making a note: huge success.

My favorites:

Portal
Starfleet Command (the first one)
Earthsiege 2
Mechwarrior 2: Mercenaries
Dungeon Hack (wwaaaaaay back on that one)
Missionforce: Cyberstorm
Kings Quest VI
Space Quest...IV, I think. The one with the mutant blob monsters.
Sim Tower
Treasure Mountain (hey, for a 3rd grader on an XT, it was mind blowing)
