We will be bringing down the Tribble server for maintenance to apply a new update: ST.42.20140622a.1

General:
  • Odyssey and Bortesqu’ Fleet Uniforms:
    • The Odyssey Uniform is now a standard uniform all Federation captains freely have access to.
      • This uniform will appear in the tailor like any other uniform option.
      • This will be a default uniform template option when making a new Federation captain.
      • The Odyssey Uniform will be removed from the Fleet Store and replaced with a brand new Fleet only uniform.
        • The new Fleet only uniform is still a work in progress and not in its final state but will be available for the launch of season 9.5.
        • The new Fleet only uniform will automatically be available for free to all Fleet members who previously unlocked the Odyssey uniform.
      • The default uniform for all Starfleet bridge officers will be the Odyssey uniform.
        • Currently, the costume is not available for Tactical Bridge Officers.
      • All NPC Starfleet personal will now wear Odyssey uniforms.
    • There is now a free Bortasqu’ uniform set named “Bortasqu’ Warrior” available to all KDF captains.
      • The changes to the Bortasqu’ uniform is still largely a work in progress but will be available for the launch of season 9.5.
    • There will be a developer blog in the near future explaining the changes to the Odyssey and Bortisqu’ uniforms in greater detail.
  • Star Cluster First Contact Diplomacy missions have been removed.

Systems:
  • Research and Development:
    • Crafting material reward packs have been added to all queued content.
      • Normal queued events will reward a “Normal Queue Crafting Material Reward Package” in addition to the standard rewards.
        • This pack includes a random combination of Common, Uncommon, and Rare materials.
      • Elite queued events will reward an “Advanced Queue Crafting Material Reward Package” in addition to the standard rewards.
        • This pack includes a random combination of Common, Uncommon, Rare and sometimes Very Rare materials.
          • The Very Rare material is determined by the type of queue (ground or space) and what enemy players are facing.
    • Crafting harvest nodes have been added to most of the episodes.
      • This is a work in progress and is not complete.
    • Old Data Samples which were required in numerous Fleet projects have been replaced by new crafting materials.
      • For already slotted projects which required the old Data Samples, no progress will be lost as adding new crafting materials will continue the progress.
    • Resolved an issue causing the recipes for all Ground Weapons at or above Mark IV to be invalid.
    • Resolved an issue where Disruptor Wide Beam Pistols were not being awarded on completion of their crafting assignments.
    • Resolved an issue causing Tricobalt Torpedo crafting projects to create Plasma Torpedoes instead.
      • These projects now correctly create Tricobalt Torpedo Launchers of the chosen Mark.
    • Resolved an issue causing the Component - Emitter Module schematic to display incorrectly in the R+D UI.
      • This component can now be crafted in the Beam school.
    • The active assignments, completed assignments, and assignment log tabs in the Duty Officer UI have been updated.
      • The duty officer selection for assignments shows the officer's traits.
    • Adding short descriptions to Materials and Components to tell more easily which is which.
    • Adding the ability for a user to run the same assignment multiple times concurrently.
    • Resolved an issue where many R+D Schematics required an extra Targeting Interface and Focusing Lens to create.
    • Resolved several issues where Component Schematics used the wrong display name, indicating they would create one thing and actually creating another.
    • Corrected an issue where Isolinear Chip components were not possible to create.
    • Harvest Material Conversion no longer uses a Lobi Crystal icon when viewed in player’s Powers List.
    • Harvest Node FX has been updated.
  • Powers:
    • All Consoles which increase damage for Cannon Weapons now also affect Turrets.
    • The Secondary firing mode on Counter-Command Bio-Molecular Rifles will no longer detonate multiple times if line-of-sight is broken during the firing cycle.
    • The Ionized Particle Beam can now be equipped on the Mirror Universe Mogai Warbird.
    • Orion Females now include aspects of the Required Trait previously known as "Seductive".
      • The benefits provided by this power are now a permanent part of Orion Females, and is included in the Species basic description to reflect this.
    • Weapons Malfunction will only apply Malfunction Resistance if the target did not already have Resistance at the time of application.
  • Kit Modules:
    • Resolved a number of level discrepancies showing up on Fabrication Modules of all ranks.
      • They now summon turrets/drones of the correct levels, and all tooltips are now accurately reflecting those levels.
  • Resolved a display issue on the Assimilated Set that was causing it to display two Deflector Arrays as belonging in the set.

Known Issues:
  • The new Crafting system is not in its final state.
    • UI for the Crafting system is still a work in progress.
    • Duty Officer Rewards are not displaying for Completed or assignments in the Log.
    • Projects in progress will show up in assignments tab of the Completed section.
    • Crafting components go into the inventory instead of the materials bag.
    • Catalysts are not being consumed when they are used in a project.
    • Catalysts in a stack can't be slotted in two different catalyst slots.
    • Not all required components are visible in the UI for each project.
    • Reaching level 5 with 3 schools does not unlock the 4th crafting slot.
  • Odyssey and Bortisqu’ Fleet uniform changes are not in their final states.
    • New Fleet uniforms are not available yet.
    • Starfleet Tactical Bridge Officers do not have the Odyssey uniform available.
  • New kit modules do not have their own search category in the Exchange.
  • Kits in your inventory cannot be equipped by double-clicking on them.
    • You can drag and drop slot them.

I really like the new and improved "crafting items as reward for replays/missions/events" thing ...

Should make crafting more fun.

I also like how my orion captain's seductive trait will be fixxed proper again ...

On a sidenote .. please take a look at all the clicking and sliding that is involved in fleet projects , like the 8000 provisions and shields required ... its very straining to buy and fill such projects

The reward for elite queue'd items ... does that mean we will get different crafting parts from the borg stfs as we would get from the crystal or tholian ones ??

Is it possible to get to lvl 20 without paying dilithium ? (like, dili is used to speed up)

Can all components/catalyst/items we can craft, be traded on the exchange ?

Great news on the uniforms.

I see crafting seems more or less housekeeping, though. Can we actually get catalysts on tribble, because I want to test those out.

While I appreciate this change a lot, and it makes a lot of sense to have the "official" uniform available from start, any news on a Romulan fleet uniform ?

Can KDF officers get standard boots that don't have blades sticking out of them? The blades may fit the Klingon image, but they don't really fit some of the other species in the KDF.

I suspect that's what the new fleet uniform purchase will unlock. We shall see.
