Because he is LT Commander in the correct universe... Or something like that.
It was in the other time line that was corrected... Or something like that... Where he was Captain.

The latest Star Trek movie and it's universe isn't fully accepted as canon with the more hardcore fans yet so they will revert whatever change to it's original state.
But that isChats opinion on it.

Most pages will only accept 'canon' information, where the definition of canon is mostly 'What's in the movies and TV-Shows'.

McCoy was in his 130s when last seen. Picard is approximately 104-105 at the time of this game. I'm sure he's still around.
