While this is not enough for those who wish to send specific sets of Duty Officers on specific missions, it does mean that many missions can now be "fire and forget", rather than requiring any additional clicks at all to select officers.

So let me dream a little about the stuff I would really like to see in the user interface:

* Favorite missions tab with the ability to choose missions to appear there.

* Persistant rarity selector in "doffs for mission selector". I.e. I almost never use less than purples for a mission, I would like UI to remember that.

* by god the ability to SORT doffs in the roster... by Name, by speciality etc...

* The ability to change the position of the doff in the mission picker. I'd move useful to the top, less useful to the bottom. And make it stick

* Select multiple doffs for an operation, like trading, dismissing etc.

* Select multiple doffs for "shredding"... don't think it's possible to select random number of doffs for a mission, but a least few different shredding missions: Shred 1 green, shred 5 greens, shred 10 greens into whites.

* confirmation popup for dismissing: Enter key works as an OK button press

* It's a very old and very dead horse, but: after pressing "reset" on a doff filter, colonists and prisoners start to appear in the main roster. Looks like state information is persisted locally, because the only way to fix it is to restart the client.

* "select all" button on starbase project doff donation window.

* An account doff bank, perhaps? 100 slots by default for up to 500 buyable?

* Visible doff mission cd timer, but I think it will just clutter up UI more rather than being practical.

* Remembering scroll position on a doff mission selector: you scroll to the end of mission list, run a mission, then you need to scroll down again.

* NEW BUG: in doffs for mission selector, after "collapse all" and scrolling, Tactical section dissappear completely, you'll need to close the mission and restart it again to see tactical doffs.

Ideally (but almost impossible):

* doff mission templates, so you dont have to select *same* doffs every time.

* I know im dreaming, but can we add more high cxp diplomatic missions which are always accessible? Getting 100k in diplo is rather painful.

Would be really nice if it was implemented...

Adding a new tab to the top of the doff window probably wouldn't be too much clutter. Call it "Cooldown." It would be like the In-Progress tab except it would list any recently-completed assignment that has a cooldown before you can do it again. Or this could go on the Assignment Log tab, although it's probably possible to have more assignments in cooldown than will fit in the assignment log.

Well, from what we dig out "facelifting" the doff interface actually means "let's kill the support chain"

Has that actually been fully confirmed that what is being speculated by the players is what is actually happening?

Like I said in another thread:

Maybe my search fu is weak, but I haven't found a dev post confirming one way or the other what is happening. Personally I'd want them become like the current Arucanis Arm sans anomalies and random exploration missions.
I have yet to see anything confirming that they are removing the cluster zones as well as the random mission/anomalies. Again, could just be my poor search fu.

It is not the fault of your search-fu. This information was specifically censored after its revelation to keep you from finding it.

Any wonder I couldn't find it, thanks for that. That truly sucks, I hope enough players protest to change that when it hits tribble.

Well, it treads on pretty much everyone's interests: It's a dil nerf, it prevents accolades from finishing their missions, and it's counterproductive to doffers, too. It will cripple the supply of refugees, for starters. It's also totally unnecessary. There are no exploration missions for a Fed in a Klink cluster, so why not just leave us our anomaly scanning grind in the cluster? They can even make it "convenient" by allowing both the option to ENTER and doff, or simply doff from the entrance, probably offering an availability bonus to people who can check all the spots.

But no, just go ahead and nerf doffing, exactly as I predicted.

Lots of nice ideas in that list, but this is what I believe is going to happen, based on a few of Cryptics previous "improvements":

- same utility as before, nothing worthwhile added
- reintroduction of a few old bugs (add more than one mission through lag, missing doff portraits, single coloured frames would come to mind).
- more lag, just like they added some during the last overhaul
- some graphical improvements, that actually turn out to make the doffing system more inconvienient, much like their improvement to the character creator, after which it has become impossible to get a good closeup of ones characters profile for example.
- the accidental removal of a few doff missions, similar to the missing "Asylum on Earth" in the new ESD.

Seriously, Diplomatic is what you are having trouble with.

What about Colonial, they need beefing up big time.
