Cryptic seems to have made them as more of a joke than an actual enemy. 2-3 people can easily plow through 3 cubes with several spheres and probes and not die.

It's all that tech that Janeway brought back from the DQ with her. It's brought the Borg down to a level playing field with the Fed.

Keep in mind the game occurs in 2409 which is 30+ years from the end of Voyager.

If Janeway made it back to the Alpha Quadrant, she had no reason to go into the past, thus would not have brought the technology back with her.

You can find similar disparities with the Scimitar and other dreadnoughts. Fact of the matter is, all of Star Trek (be it movies and series) are made for TV entertainment and don't necessarily always follow the same rules of ship mechanics, physics, etc. because super attention to detail won't always captivate your audience.

Remember in various episodes of Voyager, borg encounters ended quickly (i.e. Drone, Q2, etc.) while others lasted longer (i.e. Unimatrix Zero). Why you ask? Because it's entertaining that way and suited the plot of the episode.

It's more or less the same in terms of the game. Keep in mind that its purpose is to offer a wide range of MMO game-entertainment while adhearing as close as possible to all aspects of the ST universe. Emphasis on "as close as possible" which means if you have read both star trek encyclopedias from cover to cover, you're bound to find at least a few details they missed.

The latest patch did release borg content for higher levels which probably means you'll see battles alot more similar to that of First Contact and some episodes of Voyager.

Janeway said they had already adapted to that tech in their time so its 30 years gone ther would have adapted by now

The Borg aren't the biggest baddies in space anymore anyway.

Weren't the Undine kicking borg butt before Janeway came through and developed a weapon for the borg to use against the Undine?

lol Needless to say, Borg aren't the worst things in the galaxy anymore.

Wow,
there's another thread on these forums complaining that the Borg are too hard.

No wonder cryptic can't do anything, even the fans can't agree on what they want. lol.

Yeh, Borg in the shows take entire fleets to demolish one cube. Maybe Borg encounters aught to be more like the Crystalline entity.
