Wow this is extremly bad, it's actually like a singleplayer game that saves your character when you successfully changed map.

Even though I described in detail exactly what had happened, what I lost, when I lost it, etc.

Good Game. I know they're swamped with tickets, but a week turnaround for a ticket for a lost item? Anyone who plays semi regularly will have outlevelled that item by that time.

My two bits.

I dont think they have the proper tools to see your characters items, current and past ones. Another game I played before they had powerful tools that would show them all info needed to give back any lost items due to database failures. They could chose a timeline, like say between 5:15am-5:45am and have the tools show them graphically all items I had looted during that time, and what happen to the items afterwards, like if it was sold to a npc, destroyed, put on auctionhouse etc, it didnt take more than 10-15min to get a GM reply and have the lost item(s) replaced within that time.

A large staff of GM's is very important during the release of a game, then lay them off slowly over time as things calms down, it's the only way to handle a release without 5-6 days queues with tickets.

It is now the 21st of Feb. I lost this item 3 weeks ago, and it is STILL MISSING!

I thought Cryptic was hiring more staff to deal with our issues. Do they have a month long orientation process to go through? Or was the rumor of more employees another vaporware promise?

No sorry, a group of friends and I started PBAE characters with names like these in **** to make focus targeting on one of us harder. I still find the name useful at times.

Wow, who cares? Are you really saying after three weeks you haven't gone up another tier, or looted a better engine by now?

There are far more important things for the GMs to spend their time on.

Reporting bugs = good.
Whining about an inconsquential bug for three weeks = bad.

Hmm, nice troll. I will respond civilly anyways, mostly because this allows me to bump my own post without it appearing to be me simply bumping my own post...

1. There is no equivalent to this engine later in the game. Other engines looted, purchased, or "researched" at mem alpha can be faster, better turn rate, higher impulse speed, and may have specials such as 25% turn when engines off. I am an Escort, all that matters to me is MOAR DEEPS. This is the ONLY engine in the game that adds DPS. And 5 is huge. I am now a captain, and I can now purchase engineering consoles that add +5 to ONE of weapon, shield or engine. And that uses an eng console slot. This missing engine is "precious" to me.

2. The GMs will spend their time working on whatever Cryptic feels will provide the most benefit for its' customer base. IMHO, replacing items lost by the SERVER should take no more CS involvement than a quick look up, check, replace - then send note of time item was changed to database admin team. In other games, a server mishap and a petition on my part has resulted in me getting missing items back between 12 and 72 hours later. So far, Cryptic is a little behind this. Obviously, in your opinion, you feel the GMs should be working on something else less useful to me. Feel free to give an example of where their attentions would be better focused.

3. Database integrity is the single most important feature of any MMO. If characters have no database integrity, then there is no point in attempting to progress through the game, as advances, achievements, and items acquired may be lost or changed by random chance.

4. You spelled "inconsquential" incorrectly. It should be inconsequential. I realize this is nitpicking at a troll, but hey, if I am responding to your arguments, I may as well note all your inaccuracies.

Anything else?

Bug reports do not get individual player responses. Anybody could have told you that, if you'd bothered to ask.

Your posts are long and boring. I am unsurprised that people don't bother reading them carefully. I quit after the third paragraph.

GM requests for help SHOULD get individual player responses.
