I'm tactical, but I have a cruiser, so it's engineers and science team members for me. I'm rather like the Romulans myself, we're pretty much indestructible with all the shield recharge and medical tricorders. As such I have this one Tactical Officer just kind of hanging around like a spare wheel, now I can specialise him as something useful.

And my whole crew is Klingons so he won't look ridiculous with a bat'leth.

Using 2 sniper weapons they go down quicker, Still takes a bit more then most mobs.

I only have to do 1 normal attack before the next sniper shot on the next weapon is ready. It does takes big chunks of shield/health at a time tho

Romulan Commanders don't annoy me nearly as much as Federation Combat Engineers (e.g on DS9 mission) did! Those guys are plain simple sick.

They are basically the same, 2.5k shield + 2.5k HP with a full shield recharge on a 10 second timer. So brutally boring every time, but wait till you get to the 2 engi + 1 medic teams, so much fun to be had.

And it looks like you cant avoid the recharge in any way, i had one recharge the shield while held by a stasis field.

I can kill them, don't get me wrong. It's just that they have both health and shield buffing abilities, apparently, and every time I get their shield down, they come right back up, making it a very, very long fight. It's especially tedious because they can't really dent anyone on my team (ground combat being ridiculously easy from a survivability perspective). Is there some way to stop them from constantly healing and putting their shields back up to finish them off more quickly?
I'm gonna stay out of that whole debate above about combat - and just go for the answer

RC's are not an easy kill thats for sure, though I did take one one mission with a wierd race (I should of wrote it down because its not one of the common races) and the end guy was a blast to fight - harder than the RC and really made you use surround taticts.

But back to the RC, my fav tatict on these is to run in and just before group contact drop a phaser and medicial turret, then as the BOs come running up I take two pop shots at the Commander while runing past them giving me his attention. By this time my team now have the flanking advantage (my Tac BO usually runs up to me - the others stay back with the First Phaser / Healer Turret) and my Eng BO drops a 2nd Phaser Turret beside mine - with the total surround we then go for the Medic Commander, any grunts then the Commander himself (who up to this point usually stays focused on me because I'll keep giving him a "love tap shot" every once in a while )

Overall RCs and their groups are fun to fight - maybe a bit of a long fight if fighting in a clumpy space (a few bases with all these barrels and boxes are a pain for the flanking), but they entertain me
