Not sure if anyone talk about this here, but how do you see events in TNG playing out under the new timeline?

Different ships?
New races?
Different crew?

This might be fun playing out the what if. So what do you see happening after the NEW Movie in TNG time period?

Little would change. Vulcans do little to nothing in TNG. You see Spock and mabey an occasional Vulcan(They couldn't all be on Vulcan, they have colonies). 10,000 survivors makes little sense to me as they are a space faring civilization.

Vulcan may be a founding world of the Federation but there is not much there to write home about.

Well you had the fact the Klingons had a run in with Nero too, and he took out a ton of there ships. That would have changed a little history as well.

Picard would drink Chai instead of Earl grey and be slightly less bald

Season 1 uniforms wouldn't suck

Warp-drive would make an even louder boom

The Enterprise-D would have pulse phasers quantum torpedos and a third nacelle from season 2 on

Data would be emotionally compromised

Geordi's Visor would look like a 2010 Ford Mustang grille instead of a Cadillac air filter

Tasha Yar wouldn't be dead, and Worf would be one of the main villains

The Bridge would be shinier

LCARS would be blue already

Vulcans would all be living on Betazed where they would be the primary psychologists, psychotherapists, and governing officials.

Doctor Crusher, Wesley, and Riker would all be aliens of some sort for the sake of diversity and a better VFX budget.

Hand phasers would still be pistols instead of dust-busters

No more Admiral Sela

We don't know how TNG would look like.
Why?
We would all be blind because excessive use of lens flares.
That's why!

-Ship would look less like the enterprise and more like a variable speed vibrator

-every episode would have a shocking twist that is never fully explained

-picard would be killed off several times throught the show and come back each time.

-more episodes would be "dream sequences"

-wesley would be played by Justin Long

-More Q

-Borg would be even more bad-ass

-riker wouldn't settlle for troi, he would be even more of a *****....

-data would be compaitible with Mac's. And have USB support...unlike the stupid iPad.

-the finale would reveal that they were all photonics

-more lens flare

-less use of proper physics, in the interest of cool light shows.

-if the old enterpise can withstand a red matter explosion, then the new enterprise is indestructible! it will fly THROUGH planets...for funsies

-Geordi will finally get lasik eye surgery. its the future for F sake...

-tasha will still die...she was way too butch

-worf will seem less whiny and disobey more.

-more tribbles

-the bridge would no longer have wood panels resembling and old winobago

-more lens flare....part 2

-all canon will be replaced with temporal anomalies and re-written

Ok I can see Worf being a main villian type in a redone TNG, maybe he would kill Duras sooner, and he is the current leader of the Empire.

We would see more Orions in the Federation, maybe one will be on the Enterprise.

The Warp Effect would be matched with the new one, maybe even loader. lol

But let's not forget that Shatner would still be talking about not being involved in the show, even if it doesn't fit.

I think it wouldn't be terribly different in some regards, and much different in others.

First, with the loss of some 40 odd ships to the Narada, the Klingon fleet is probably mostly in shambles. This leads me to the conclusion that Praxis would explode sooner (how much, I cannot be certain) as they try to replenish the lost ships. Following this, the Romulans would either conquer the Klingons, or they would be subsumed into the Federation as some kind of protectorate (like Bajor in DS9).

Also, with the seemingly more militaristic bent the JJprise showed, the Galaxy class explorer ship will probably be skipped in favor of a Sovereign-like ship as early as 2366 (when TNG starts).

However, with Kirk being the captain of the Enterprise as it should be, the general timeline of TOS is theoretically mostly conserved, except that one episode where they go to Vulcan and fight with lirpas. This means it's entirely possible that not much will change.
