Just throwing this in there, but with VM being what it is, and everybody saying "sci yourself when you see the purple blob and it blocks it"... WTF?

That was with Sci Team II, for what it's worth - the highest you can get on a T4 battlecruiser. Is this some kind of known bug, or just a really stupid case of "chance to remove"? I'll say for sure this is not an isolated incident of whatever it is, though.

when was it ever said any ability is guaranteed? Sci team can fail just like VM can fail when it hits. If you observe a lot of ground combat abilities you'll notice there's a ton of % chance of working. On top of power levels, skill points spent, other buffs/debuffs and other factors to ability effectiveness. To have a system where something always works all the time just creates a rock paper scissors aspect that neglects any originality.

I fail to see how a system where scissors randomly loses to paper is superior.
