5 fore kdf raptor was announced before in a older interview and there was a mention that kdf won't be pleased with it.I thought then that this raptor will be made by will to have something that will decrease it performance against other faction escorts. (It is the same interview it was explained why new Guramba wasn't yet launched .)

About the upgrading T5 ships to T6 I am starting to think today after last news that the new FPER was a experiment to see how and many people buy the same ship they already have for better stats. My guess is something similar will happen with old T5 ships into upgrading them to new T6 ships ,because i can't imagine that there will not exist a T6 Bop or a T6 Enterprise or a T6 Scimitar .

Edit : I hope they don't forget about Heisenberg principle when they make their prices for new upgrades lol

They already stated very clearly that there is not going to be a T5-T6 upgrade option. It does strike me a stupid to, a hell of a lot of people, myself included like to use canon ships and not Cryptic ships. So even the Odyssey, Bortas and Scimitar are going to be obsolete.

I have a funny feeling that they'll bite the bullet and say that since the two factions are apparently buddies again, they'll just let all factions use the same T6 ships.
Take it easy!

Yes, balance here meaning further molding the factions into Fed.

Too late I'm afraid. As someone posted on the forum, they're gving the Feds the raider class (as absolutely stupid as it sounds) by turning the Aquarius into a raider. (Note that this isn't 100% confirmed, the source is a post by another player that followed the LV livestream)

Silver lining? The KDF is still the only thing that makes sense in this game to a ST fan.

Well I won't be surprised if we lose our new raider only buffs by giving it to the feds. Its just the track record.

I'm more worried about T6 and the KDF ship development. Now that the Tiers are gonna move to T6, how fast is KDF going to fall behind? Will the gap widen expotnentially faster this time around than before?

These are questions I'd really, really want addressed for my piece of mind, as a kdf player.
We've been ignored hard in the past, doing it now can really, really hurt.

EDIT: In other news I'd probably pay 10 bucks for a module to upgrade Bortas to T6 Equivilancy with 2 extra weapon slots, a console slot, and oh yes, a hanger! >_>

No.
The reasonable conclusion is to address "balance" now, instead of trying to play catch up in an entirely new system (lvl 50+).
Did they even attempt that?
Heck no.
Things degraded even further.

STO is all about the Fed faction and it will remain that way until this game grinds itself to a halt because of lack of diversity.
NO to ARC...Make It VOLUNTARY

I can understand and share the bitterness in part for the manner that kdf players have been treated in the pass. Still this new level cap cap creates a new end-game environment, a place were most players reside. So long as cryptic maintains balance going forward at the t6 level the balance gap should close. The t5 level game-play will still be skewed toward fed faction, in time it will only be speed bump.

Still the big ugly problem that cryptic, or someone there, stated that kdf doesn't pull in enough money to make it worth making new ships. So aside from the first reveal of the first t6 kdf ships, with the track record, I completely expect to see them release like...

what.. ? 4 fed ships to kdf's 1?

I admire your optimism and I sincerely wish you're right about this, however when you have the game's LD in the recent podcast publicly stating that they'll always create more stuff for the Fed faction than for the other 2 factions, I find this assumption very hard to believe.

I admit, I wouldn't mind if tier 6 acted as a 'reset' for all three factions to some degree, and let them give all factions some more attention again.

But I also don't think that will happen. The KDF will get some ships, but in the end, all the KDF (and now Romulans really) exist is to sometimes make a little bit of money, have a little of their own missions, and of course, hand over any unique features they have to the unending hunger of the monster that is the Federation side of the game.
