# 1 Why do the GM's have no clue ?
02-16-2010, 09:17 AM
Please find the release notes for February 5, 2010 below:
General

* The Admiral promotion mission will now complete if players choose a fleet escort as their reward. This is not retro-active. If you’re an Admiral with a dangling promotion mission because you chose an escort, please submit a ticket to CS.

I had this bug and I submitted a ticket on it 8 days ago, word for word as follows:-

I have the bug with Admiral promotion where it keeps telling me to go get a ship because I chose fleet escort. The launchpad tells customers if they have this bug to submit a ticket to a GM

I was very suprised to find the GM did not have a clue what I was talking about despite the fact release notes claim it can be fixed by CS.

Yesterday I finally got a response. The following respone was received :-

Thankyou for contacting us about this. We currently lack the information to get an accurate picture of the issue you discuss in your ticket. Please edit this ticket and include as much information in the ticket as you can, so you we can do our best to resolve your issue.

helpful information may include:

Had your issue been solved ? in any case, please, contact me as soon as possible.

Now I might just be clutching at straws here ... or expecting too much .. but when you released the patch telling people to contact a GM if the had a bugged admiral promotion, I would have thought you would have provided information to GM staff on how to fix the problem so they actualy know what im talking about when I sent the ticket 8 days ago.

I just got my klingon character to general last night to and much to my suprise I have the same bug that continuosly tells me to go and choose a ship after I have choosen one. I was going to submit a ticket on it but I guess that would make things even worse for the GM trying to fix my first issue,

GMs do not have the ability to change and modify the source code

They are simply security guards in a mall to catch thiefs and solve general issues..

when asked how they can fix the broken escalator .. they have no clue..

thats where the Devs step in

i am sure your ticket will be pass onto the Devs since its a game coding issue
