I broke it down into a more simplistic read, though this thread was good to read, it went on a bit.

Having observed many different instances, there's the fact that on every one of the instances where CE is beaten down to 30% is usually has a few captains or rear admirals(escorts) shooting at it. It's like sending noob mirandas to face of vs mirror empire terrans. Oh look, I don't have any problems soloing halt the gorn forces on my Fleet Escort, does that mean that it's too easy?

I agree it is possible to kill CE over some hours once you amass a group of 15+ LC6 - Cmdr players that knows exactly what to do, but there's simply no other fleet action that's as complicated and the rewards certainly doesn't make up for it.
Oh I agree it is too hard. I'm just saying it is now beatable if you know what your doing and have enough players stacked with scramble sensors. As a funny side story a lt commander fleet mate of mine was trying to beat it and was in there for an hour. There where probably about 12-18 players I don't beleive any of them where admiral rank. He called for help so I jumped in with my captain science with two copies of scramble. As soon as I jumped in we where able to get it down to the 30% mark and hold it there. (it had been steady at around 60-90% before I joined) still couldn't kill it so got one more fleet mate in a commander science with another copy of scramble. Within 5 minutes or him joining we dropped it from 30% to 0.

So moral of the story, yup its too tough but... I bet if you got 4 lt commanders each with a copy of scramble and a handful of high dps escorts you could beat this. Scramble sensor is over powered against the CE.

I'd jsut settle for zone chat to only show my instance when I am in CE so the group in my instance can communicate without all the spammmmm.

I find it funny that the mission "Crystalline Catastrophe" from Admiral Grigori Yanishev in the episode list is marked as LC7(lvl17), and the mission reward is then a lowly green lieutenant commander mk 3 kit.
While I quickly got better and more useful blue mk 4 kits from other easyer missions at the same level.
IMO The CE mission wasn't worth the time. The reward is to low compared to the level/skill/teamwork needed!

(Please note the mission is marked as LC7 (lvl17), which is the suggested level, not the lowest level since you can get the mission before you are lvl 17)

Also, what is up with all the tactics that says you need Tier 3 ships and higher?
As said, the missions suggested level is LC7(lvl17), which means your highest ship is a Tier 2 ship. So you should be able to do this mission with only a fleet of Tier 2 ships.

However kudos to the high levels that want to help out. Keep up the good job!

It's been this way for over a week, same with DSEs.
