All skills can be "effectively" countered by and large. If I open up with Rapid fire I can use RSP. If I'm hit with tractor beam I can use polarize hull. Considering the ease with which VM can be stacked the number of effective counters are too small.

....in your Opinion. I saw where you're advocating a nerf to Subnuec beam too. Why don't you just list all your career skills out and propose that they should introduce EASIER and MORE counters for them instead of picking apart other careers. Yes, I said easier because thats how people like you want the game. You want to keep your professions skills, get others nerfed and make it EASIER for you to win. So instead of the 'I WIN" button you want a "YOU LOSE" button eh??

lol...they did it in Champions, nerfing this power, that power, because players like to scream NERF'em.


then along the way, while those certain powers were nerfed....Now these powers are waaaay better.


then the players scream NERF'em


and like the pattern goes, another power set becomes overly used with a combination of enhancing items, resulting in a stronger power...


NERF"em..

so it continues its a never ending cycle.


WoW still swings the nerf bat...(sometimes silently) Although I have seen Blizz give classes more buffs lately then nerfs to be aligned with their new content.

Why don't you check this list and tell me how many offensive skills have no counter for? Also not that the OP of the thread does not use Feedback Pulse as a counter to all of the Beam offensive skills which is unfortunate because it nullifies them.

Anything that is an offensive skill on that list that is as devastating as VM or Subnuc needs to have counters added as well. I haven't seen any, but I'm not above admitting that I don't know everything, so anything that has not counters and is as devastating as VM or Subnuc needs counters added. They don't need to be nerfed, they need to be brought in line with the system of attack/counter.

see the link in my post. To my knowledge there is no hard counter for Subnuc at the moment.

I find it interesting that even though you are simply suggesting a counter to a power that really has no effective ones,...people are still angry and bitter at you for saying it. I think that is a true testament to the fact that they KNOW the power is out of balance.. and they are afraid the "win" button might be countered by somebody other than the escort classes.

When they whine about something so silly as your posting about a counter, you know you have already won the argument.

As a long time ******** player, i`m really enjoying the freedom this game offers, as well as the choice. I have had a blast in pvp, both winning and losing.

I`ve watched the wow devs cave into mindless nerf calls to the point where even relatively unpoplar pvp specs were being nerfed purely as spiteful people knew how to post "noisily".

PvP players in wow are being very badly treated at the moment and are very much second class citizens. I dont want that to happen here.

Look, I have a great suggestion for SNB:

Give it the same cooldown they gave Miracle Worker.

Precisely. Those that don't see these powers for what they are are simply trying to defend there "so-called" tactics and lack of skill at the game because they don't know how to win any other way. Totally logical if a tad narrow minded.
