# 1 Power Transfer Rate.
02-16-2010, 05:25 PM
Anyone have a clue how to find out what my ship power transfer rate is?

I have an engineering item that give me +2.2 PTR but i don't know what mine is, so i have no clue how good this is.

I mean if my PTR is 1000 then adding 2.2 will do almost nothing.
If it is 100 it still seems weak.
if it is 10 then that is a nice 20% boost.
If it is 1 that that would be a 200% increase and really be sweet.

So, anyone have a clue?

Duno if its right, but i think the x.x+ is actually percentage, so if you have a 2.2 item, it means your transfare is faster 220% (but not actually 220% since cryptic uses a deminishing return formula).

This is what I have read elsewhere, and what I assume to be true.

I have that same console, and it makes a significant difference to my power levels. Watch how fast your power jumps back up after coming out of full impulse vs. not having it.

Thanks for the educated guess. Better than nothing.

Sure would be nice if that info was in game.

The item says 2.2.

They are saying you have a 1 normally. So that would make it 220% better.

My guess is the base is 10 and 2.2 makes it 12.2 with skills its more like 20 per second with 4 +3 mk x it would be 22 around 30 with skills.

Is it like that for all types. i.e. - if i have a tactical console that says +20 for phasers, that would be a 2000% increase? That doesn't seem right.

Highly doubtful. I have an EPS Flow Regulator with +3 Power transfer rate and it is amazingly good, allowing me to recover from beam overload in 2 seconds, with all of my cannons continuously firing.
