A bug that involved Romulan Liberated Borg captains and their skills once they chose an ally
I say mostly because there are really only three skills that are worth a damn. Reverse Polarity to Shields, Engineering Team, and Emergency Power to Weapons.
Thats it. I tried toying around with other powers, I messed around with the Auxiliaries, and I was just flat out disapointed again and again. They are useless.
Even Emergency Power to Shields is just pathetic compared to something like Science Team, and why go for just dinky 1K boost when you can go for INVULNERABILITY. And not to mention completely recharging your shields. A 4 minute cooldown is nothing when you can just have have four or five on your ship.
Aceton Field is just a joke, and I've never seen DEM do anything meaningful. Why does Science get a truckload of powers that actually have meaningful applications and yet, when it comes to Engineering, I'm stuck with such bland choices? I wouldn't mind if they actually were useful, but as it is I just see no point in them.

em to aux, aux to structural.... hm.....
You are right that there isn't enough techi stuff around.
Aceton field is lackluster, warp plasma is a joke, boarding parties are.... broken like any weapon that spawns its own entity.
but then again: what powers could engineering get? Engineering is meant to get you through bullet hell alive.... would you really trade that in?

1) the EPshields abilites have Short cooldowns when you skill them. They also don't keep you from using your science abilities on others to heal them while keeping yourself buffed up.
2) they buff your immediate shield level, your damage resistance amounts, and your natural shield regeneration amount and your shield power amount so I can run 100 50 25 25 and actually have my 'real' rating with EPS running 100 100 25 25 or more depending on skills.
3) Sci team buff is wonderful but should be saved to counter Sci Debuffs like confuse, Holds and all that.
4) Aceton Field is a laugh at the escort while he destroys himself power. It does damage that is straight to hull, and ticks on how often they shoot. It also debuffs their damage by 50% .... yes it cuts it in half...
add that to your 50+ resists due to buffs and Oh Lookee you live twice as long. So far from useless.
5) DEM is a situational power that someone would use against a person such as yourself that Lives on RSP. You see you activate that like it is going to save you and I use DEM and bypass your shields by an additional 10-30% depending on level of DEM and Oh look you died at 100% shield power...(yes coupling this with transphasics is fun and exciting)
6) You see no point in these skills because the PvE in the game isn't challenging. Not because the abilities are useless... in PvP they are ALL situationally useful.

In PvP considering you're probably going to get wailed on by everyone:
1.) & 2.) RSP beat this by making you invulnerable for up to a minute, completely restoring your shields every 15 seconds (as opposed to a small amount every 30) which honestly while having every Klink throwing their guns on you EPS isn't going to do a thing.
3.) Sci buff is wonderful, and pretty much used as intended that way.
4.) 50% debuff against one target is nice until you realize he has 4 other buddies that are going to kill you in meantime - also, the radiation damage is still mediocre, I have never seen it tick more than once every second no matter how many shots the target is putting out.
5 If anyone has ever tried using DEM to their advantage in this fashion against RSP hogs like me they've failed miserably, Hazard Emitters and Engineering Team I pretty much kills any kind of bleedthrough.
So yes, situation? Absolutely. But still useless. Sorry. I ran EP Shields compared to having RSP in the same slots and there just wasn't any comparison, PvE or PvP they kept me alive alot longer to do alot more damage.

1) + 2) *snicker* only because those you are fighting continue to wail on you while under rsp... which is darned perculiar. 45seconds of every 240 of invunerability vs the stackable and overlapping resists of a EPShield is very debateable about its worthwhile-ness...especially if you are running Hazard emitters and engineering team on yourself. All three together providing 85% damage resistance. With occasional overlaps of lower tiers going to 95% damage resistance. Every 30 seconds or 8 times during the course of your 3 times...but believe what you will. More than one RSP on your ship is a luxury the Klingon BoP doesn't really have.
4) The only real danger to me is the extreme burst of an escort.
5) congrats! You are using the additional BO slot you get correctly

For some reason green = shoot more.
Perhaps I'm more biased towards RSP because I prefer using EP to Wep for the damage boost. Either way RSP seems the only way to go from my experience.
