When the Rumulans become playable faction, KvR PvP should be interesting :-)

If you're implying that Klingons will learn how frustrating the cloak is then, you realize there already is Klingon vs Klingon PvP?

aye the typical strategy is both sides are cloaked then when one gets bored they have a tank decloak and play bait gets newb all the time but on premade v premade it gets sucidal with all the bops runing aorund

Instead of having both sides at each others throats, with whinging for an ubernerf to keep it all the same and buff us a little, I'd rather see compromise. Give and take, ya'll.

Not on cloak. That's the very corps of Klingon ship design. You know what I want? I want somebody to explain to me how in T2 I've run into one Federation player who is invulnerable to me BoP. I've tried 3 times in 2 different scenarios, making a picture perfect attack run from stealth and my DPS (which is as good as DPS can get on a T2 BoP) was insufficient to penetrate this person's shield regen/heals. How am I supposed to be able to counter THAT? What good is a stealthed hit and run ship when your stealthed attack bounces without any effect? You wanna talk compromise? Compromise that out of the game. It shouldn't be there. That shouldn't be possible for a player to be immune from being killed. And before anyone starts babbling about this or that, the individual I'm thinking of had just been in combat (and killed the attackers without taking damage) two of the three times I tested it. Either this person is exploiting, or there's something very wrong with the basic game design. When all that kind of crap is dealt with, then we can talk about fine tuning.

There is nothing wrong with what you are doing , it really is dependant on your/his Boff's, equipment , and group. PvP in this game is not 1 v 1 .

I generally ignore comments where people are talking about "premade" because that isn't the game I'm playing, but that doesn't sound like the KvK scenarios I've been in at all. They've been a lot more hectic and a lot more fun than most of the (hundreds?) of KvF scenarios I've played.

I know there is nothing wrong with what I'm doing. I haven't been out of the top 3 DPS in a scenario for the last 100 or so I've played, and I'm usually #1.

If I can't punch through another ship's shields 1 on 1, then what chance do I have of being able to do it when there is more than one ship defending?

Whatever this player is doing, it breaks the game. Badly. When I asked her what she was doing to keep her shields up no matter how much damage she was taking, she just said I needed more DPS. My DPS is as high as it is possible to be in T3. This person is either using some items that break the game, or has found some flaw in the game system itself to do so. And if that's possible in T2 than I'm not sure I want to see what's waiting in T3 and up.

Well, I wouldn't go that far, BoP are so much weaker, that usually decloak, get gang banged, and "POOF!!!".

thats what i was saying. im flying a bop tier 2 right now...yesd im a kling noob but frmo what i can see at this point claoking is the great equalizer for some of the klingon vessels. however that does mean that mes does need serious improvements for the feds, its intent was to act as a claok. especially since escorts (i have a rear admiral t5 escort) are just as squishy in comaprison to the bops....maybe even more so.

You remember what she was flying? I did similar at T2 with a BoP. Rare regen shield with extra points, and seriously stacked shield buffs..RSP, sci team, emergenc to shields, stuff like that. With that and 100 power to shield, I was regen'ing arcs between incoming rounds. They had to get me with bleedthrough.

Anywho, I'll ask this of ya'll. see if you can't get some premades going, and agree not to use cloak. Consider it an experiment. If we're as KATN as I think most klinks are, Even without the cloak feddies should get steamrolled.

My whole goal with this thread is not to kill cloak via nerf. I just would like two things. Lowering of the incessant "OMG OP skill/L2P FedN00B" battles, and well, a little more interesting game. I feel like I've come off abit trollish and snarky, and isn't my intent here.
