Aside from a convention, I really do wish that cryptic hops to break this record sometime soon and tries to do so in the states. I think we can muster together a little bit more than 99.

/agreed lol. I think we could do way better than this, BUT hats off to those fans in London that did show up. Some of those costumes were pretty nice.

Did I miss soemthing? 99 people? There are probably more people in costume running around during a film premiere of Star Trek. How is 99 a world record? I'd appreciate some clarification!

it means 99 people turned up and due to the fact a record like this has not been set, 99 people is the new bar.

Its not hard my friend.

Also they don't just get 99 peeps and say HEY its a record, They actually need a Guinness guy there to make it official.

How do you not know this lol.

Yeah 99 people....can't help but feel they are overdoing the hype there. I could have gone but I have no costume aside from pretending to be a changling, human/humanoid citizen, 8472/Undine take your pick. Plus I am one of those (I expect many people) who has a partner and spent the day with her and partly with my parents as well while they were in the area. Sadly none of them are in to Star Trek and my sister in London isn't fan enough to dress up but maybe saw the action (must ask her for some shots as she's in to photography).

I definitely expect USA to break that record by 10fold? more?? Maybe someone here can organise that since you don't need a Bandai to do a world record).

Looks like a lot of fun. I always enjoy meeting other Star Trek fans.
