IMHO, the ship interface should be highly mod-able, complete with minor scripts. such at "when target shields are >10%, fire torpedoes" and "Continued fire". And even have hooks into flying in formation with other ships.

however the ground game should be limited to assigning keys to single actions. but swap to second weapon and fire exploit should be do able (but have appropriate delay).

I see it we have an highly automated ship with thousands of crew, anything repeatable should be activated with a single command. On ground however, we are on our one and manually doing most things.

See I think this is the type of thing that should be 100% barred from happening with addons. You don't want the game to play for you. Hell with these types of scripts you could write an "optimal" damage script and have it automated. Then you just point and press a button. Bad idea overall from a game standpoint.

Heck, couple that with a script to continuously reinforce forward shields and you have the equivalent to a bot.

Addons are great when they're for UI things, but horrible when they automate gameplay.

UI modding would do wonders for this game, and cryptics pocket, it would draw even more people to the game, ontop of the large player base that currently already exists.

It's gotta be done, you know it makes sence

Such a timely thread.
I posted before asking how to simply resize the HUGE UI panels and decided to wait to play again till I could do it.
Meanitime, I have been searching high and low for STO UI mods to make the game more enjoyable..
Ohhhh Kay,.. I'll check back in a couple of weeks to see if this has changed...
Sorry, but this is a deal killer for me... damn
