# 1 I can see it now, FvF pvp

5 science officers + science ships, wins everytime with no damage taken at all, 1 science ship with feedback pulse III kills 5 people at once instantly, GG balance no re

seriously, did cryptic have any thoughts when making these skills, did really no thought pass into their minds that maybe just maybe a 20 second disable or a "thornskin" skill that does massive damage with no drawbacks would really be ok? sometimes it makes you wonder if they even play there own game, and not just push out game code as fast as they can to get the game out faster ad not even look at their own work

Oh, they'll find something to whine about.

I predicted this. When there's fed pvp, 'escort' pilots will cry about science ship pilots.

Mark my words.

feedback pulse in FvF really scares me, because its not going to be one side with it, its going to be just about everyone and their grandma with it. If you thought the complaints about it screwing over one side are loud now, just wait till FvF pvp comes out >_< (I'd best get some earplugs because I have a few vocal fleetmates)

This is the point where the STENCH of their own inadequacies will come to light....

There will be no more excuses. The setups will be the exact same ships and slot setup v one another.

They won't be able to cry about CLOAK is OP or Universal BO stations being so powerful....

So they will cry about how unfair full impulse is in combat... and other WTF?!? Statements...

can't you simply stop attacking the ship that uses feedback pulse? or am I missing something here? you are expected to do the same in WoW against enemies that have similar attacks.. why not here?

Yes but that requires engaging the brain and standing off the trigger... which is anathema to any federation player that QQs...

The ONLY good thing to come out of FvF PvP is watching the FedFailBears nerf each other to oblivion.

There has been "FvF" for quite some time now. Actually, since there's nothing else to do in this game and the proper PvP queues take 2 lunar cycles for one game to begin, all my time since RA5 has been spent getting "bugged" in Borg Hunt, and challenging my fellow feds to duels, and sometimes it even becomes full fledged group fighting.

FBP 3 on a FvF... I'm on a sci ship with 4 beams on constant spam, by all means and purposes, and the way people advertise it on the forums I should be insta dead when people turn it on, quite the contrary, I rarely go below 90% - 80% hull with that ability.

Step 1 - Stop shooting - If possible move to get your target out of the firing arc of your own beams so it stops shooting faster.

Step 2 - Hazzard Emitters (I can't stress this enough)

Step 3 - Change target while keeping an eye on whoever popped FBP - once it's over, change target back and pewpew away.

I have FBP on one of my officers setup for the lulz, and the ammount of people that just keep on spamming ALL their phaser banks at me for the -entire- duration of FBP is amazing.

The most obvious problem with this skill is the fact that we can't stop shooting when we want,(specially beam cruisers) and depending on the damage those last few beam pulses do, that could very well mean 20 - 40% hull... which sadly is... too much for one single ability and no proper "counter" to it even if you do everything right.

4 pulses per beam, even if you stop attacking those pulses will still connect, regardless of any different desire. and 4 pulses times (oh lets say) 4 beams 16 retributive damage strikes. even if you pull out your still gonna be sorely hurt.

fake edit: did that come off as an innuendo? Totally looked like it.
