I was going to repy to a post in the Klingon section about how Ensign level abilities become semi usless at higher tiers (especialy for the Escorts extra Ensign Tacticle station) so I was typing out my reply about maby moving Cannon: Scatter Volley down from Lieutenant to Ensign to make it a viable power for starting out cannon users aswell as the Admirals and Genreal players, well instead of moving the power it gleamed to me that maby we need to make a new basic Cannon based power (afterall their are lots of usefull Beam powers and only 2 cannon powers so why not 1 more)

So I came up with the "Cannon: Overlaod" power:

Cannon: Overload I
Tactical Ensign

System: Cannons. Overload improves your next cannon attack. Overloading your cannon weapom delivers an extremly powerfull volley, but drains weapon power and briefly takes your cannon weapons offline. Only the energy type you Overload will go offline - so if you Overload your Disruptors, all Disruptors will go offline and not your Plasma weapons.

Cannon: Overload I

Targets Self
0.6 sec activate
1 min 10 sec recharge
* Upgrades your next cannon attack, Deals massive energy Damage but drains your Weapon Power.
Any ideas comments/improvements? to me this seems a simple solution cannons need more options as it stand two skills isnt enough imo...

I'd rather see some sort of +accuracy skill for long range

Improve cannons, to further increase the gap between then ? What about, cannons: fire at will ?
