There desperately needs to be some changes to some of the "skills" in the game as well as some of the BO abilities.

Made Captain today and was looking forward to pvp. I've got Sci Team and Eng Team because we don't have a choice in the matter, without them combat is just stupidly frustrating. Anyway, I'm in my Vor'cha, and i tried 4 matches - 2 small salvage and 2 cracked planet, and all the Feds were always different. In all that, there was probably less than 10 kills TOTAL for the Klingons. I got into a fight with a Sci ship and for 90% of the fight it was just the two of us. This arrogant, overpowered ******* actually sat in front of me, after hitting me with VM (which I cleared) Sub Nuc (which I sat through and he didn't even fire back) and drained my power even while I was firing, and I never got the *******s shield down past half. Then his buddy arrived and of course I exploded. A *** damn sci ship sat in front of a cruiser, with 3 mk VIII heavy duals in the nose, and basically not only laughed about it, but he ended up going off and LEFT me shooting him in the aft end and not able to do any damage to him. The only time his shields got down far enough to make him at least sweat a little was with FOUR ships firing on him.

I asked about targets and the most telling response was "why bother, we can't kill any of them.".

Now, also in these so-called matches, you get tractor beamed by a minimum of two if not three ships. But, nobody can take a skill that can break these because (at least as an engineer, because cruisers can't get APO) we have to have Eng team and Sci team, and if we don't want to get burned down in an instant, we have to have RSP.

Now I know wny there are so few Klingons at higher level and so few overall. Work our asses off to get to Tier 4 and 5, and in 4/4 matches I was in, I saw two escorts, and the rest were at least half Sci ships and the remainder cruisers. I'm quite positive there was much cackling going on by the Feds who read the forums and see all the whining by the young Feds, and why not...maybe on top of this travesty the Klingons will get cloak nerfed or something too.

I won't elaborate more because I'm too ****ed off. Suffice to say Feds, any crying you do in the lower tiers you may as well just let it go, because it means nothing. The disparity between the two factions is literally light years apart, and it's in Starfleet's favor.

Then the gap flips again and the Klinks dominate T5.

It doesn't since feds get the best ships and slots so organized fed team > klingon organized. Pugs are hit or miss depends on what ships are there and how much healing is going on. The facts are feds can support much better than klingons doesn't matter if you have cloak or a carrier.

stop throwing that arguement out. the difference in ability of ships in terms of hull/shields is very negligible in higher tiers, whereas the power of weapons (i.e. cannons) grows substantially. I have been in matches and I have seen excellent support on both sides.

I have seen T4 victory just as much as defeat. When your new to T4 it is a much different game the the beginning of the previous tiers as a Klingon. By the time your halfway thru T4 things will feel powerful on both sides. I think it all has to do with those first few T4 levels...

find an organized group (prob easiest in Gandala)
find a ventrilo server
dominate feds

its a shame the LFG tool is a sad abortion of usefulness

Fill your rear weapon slots with turrets and get 1 or 2 "EPS Flow" engineering consoles. That'll up your DPS and decrease your power woes.

Get that Aceton Field power and shoot it at whichever enemy is doing the most DPS.

Make sure you have 2x Reverse Shield Polarity and don't hesitate to pop it.

Also get Rapid Fire Cannons (this was T4, right? Should be able to get all this; I think it's what I was using).

If you still have enough T3 medals, buy the T4 PvP ship shield from the vendor. He's broken and wants T3 medals for the T4 shield, which is good if you have enough medals and very bad if you don't.

Basically, I didn't have any particular trouble in T4. Biggest problem is that Escorts start being able to deliver devastating firepower if you don't debuff their weapons somehow, and you need to get the right combo of survivability and DPS in your battle cruiser.

My experience is about the same as Slamz at T4, although I feel your pain in regards to science ships, and have been on both sides of harrowing defeats and perfect victories.

On the bright side, you can win a 1v1 with a federation cruiser while asleep.

Yeah, same deal here as Slamz. I thought it would be rough in T4, being that I've leveled my character entirely without RSP or FBP. Still no issues. You seem to have problems with tractor beam, and don't want to get the tractor beam immunity (polarize hull). Chances are you've got FBP or HE and don't want to give it up? It's your choice. All of them are excellent skills.

Are your power allocations to full when you're attacking? Are you using Rotate and Brace for Impact along with your other tanking skills? Do you have Shields performance? Are your shields top tier? Are your tactical consoles boosting your weapon type?

I'm not really sure why you're using cannons on a Vor'Cha, but with those skilled up and Rapid Fire you should be eating people alive at under 5km.
