# 1 Enemies with Recharge Shields

How are you supposed fight two Romulan Commanders who both have the Shield Recharge abillity? Focussing on one of them it's only possible to remove about 10% of their health bar before her shields are recharged to full. EVen fighting against one is very time-consuming due to the frequent shield recharges.

There's no castbar for this ability - they announce "Recharging shields" and the bar is back to full within about 3 seconds. Interrupting during the recharge does nothing as it's not a channelled ability. The only counter I can see is to spam knockdown attacks which is not practical because it lowers my damage output considerably. Knockdowns also do not help when facing more than one Commander.

The tactic I used earlier this morning when facing two Commanders was to go and make some scrambled eggs while my team whittled away at them. However I suspect that mid-fight breakfasting was not the designer's intent.

Get a Batleth from DS9. Hit 1, 1, 2, or 2, 2, 1. You are your own Klingon sword master, just slighlty less powerful.

1. Get Expose weapon + skills for your BOffs
2. Get 1 or 2 Sniper Rifles for yourself
3. Learn that massive damage knockbacks are fun vs. shield rechargers
4. Profit

tbh it's a lot worse to face 2 medics and 2 engineers because you were stupid and attacked 2 groups...

I'm using a sniper rifle but my team seem to cause exposes without any great regularity. I'll investigate and invest in my Boffs' weapons and abilities. It's been pointed out to me by a friend that I might be a running an away team that's a little science-heavy so I'll throw an extra Tactical Officer in to the mix too. A batleth sounds fun, too, so I'll definitely try that out.

Perhaps the real issue is that it's possible to leave the room and make breakfast in the middle of a firefight?

Click on the button to get team to attack you target. Works for me. They do this expose attacks while I lauch stun, plasma, photn and smoke grandes followed by sniper shot.

coordinate your attacks, doesn't take long to get them down with 5 people shooting them, specially if you use stuff like tetryon or plasma weapons combined with exposes.

Good idea, but scrap the sniper rifle, and get split beams instead. And get two of them. Always keep one exploit attack off of CD to take advantage of any exposes. Take advantage of any kit abilities you have that can cause exposes. If you don't have one, get one - at least for those pesky commanders when you need all the exposes you can get. A good exploit attack, even without the commander being exposed, will knock a HUGE amount off of their shields. And if you flank them at the same time...

Thanks but I'll keep my sniper rifle. After the grenades one sniper shot removes any remaining shield and half of hit points, 2 more rifles shots and even the hardest one is dead.

I actually use one expose and one exploit (both cone AoEs, the cone and targetted AoE don't seem to me to have a big enough area of effect). My team is: 1 tactical, 2 science, 1 engineer and me (engineer). At captain 5 and so far haven't had any problem whatsoever with anything except a couple of bosses really.
Also, use the positions. Specially crouch 'C' which will do extra damage. And the already mentioned focus fire (not the ability, the button) so all the BOs attack your target.

It is much harder to fight 2 'ranked' medic NPCs than it is anything else. They can keep rezing eachother and make things a real pain. For any 'shield' enemy I just focus all the BOs with their Expose skills on that one NPC, and my own expose weapon as well, and hit expoit attack any time it is available.
