I'm not sure if this was ever made into "offical" canon, but usually the name of a new type of ship becomes the "class" name for any other ships that follow. For example the U.S.S Defiant that we saw on DS9 was the first ship of that type, and the other ships that were made after it in that class were Defiant class ship. The U.S.S Constellation was the first Constellation type ship made and the famous U.S.S Enterprise followed at some point after that.
Anyway, if Cryptic is following that model we won't know the class name until whenever they chose to reveal the ship's name. Personally, I think we're long overdue for an Enterprise class of ships!
W00tness!! I don't much care for the look of the think, specifically the lack of an elevated saucer section, but I imagine I can come to respect it's awesome firepower (no doubt including some of Janeway's anti-Borg transphasic weaponry seen in End Game).

Considering the NX registration, it suggests a prototype. A final class name may not have been reached yet. ((Yes, the Defiant was also an NX but the Excelsior was an NCC which leads me to believe that NX denotes prototype and not necessarily the first ship in a finalized design.))
I dont mean to be a Scrooge here or anything but.. seriously... This ship, while lovely, just looks to me like a rehashed Soverign Class with a Beam linking the two Warp Nacelles and what looks to be a weapons pod or sensor pod.. Nothing to terribly spectacular really.. but nice..
I dono.. Just me.. anyways.. have a Happy... meh...
