# 1 Looking for a good fleet.
02-26-2010, 10:08 PM
I have recently made Rear Admiral and am looking to join a good fleet. I currently fly an assault cruiser as an engineer. I'm looking for a fleet that has mature members, and hopefully a lack of "internet speak" as I call it.
I have some experience in other online games, and I am willing to help other members. I live in the EST timezone, so I would hope to find a fleet that plays during these hours as well. Please, if you are just mass recruiting, do not reply.

Please spend a few minutes on our website and check out LNR Fleet. After we hit the 250 member cap, we made more room for new members. You can now join LNR!

We are a Fleet/Guild that is founded on being inclusive. Here are some important facts you should know:

* Casual & mature - Anyone can join who will follow and help enforce our charter

* Stable - Established guild with over 6 years experience

* Multi-game guild - While many stay in a game (I'm a lifetimer) as you might move on to new games, so do others in LNR. Stay with the same gang as new games come out.

* PVP - For those interested, we have highly organized PVP teams and events

* Strong Leadership - Members can prove themselves and become highest ranking leaders through our election process - All of our leadership was elected -- they have proven their leadership

* Voice Chat - Private Vent server (only join if you want)

* Strong communication - Full featured website (over 100,000 posts), roster, forums, chat, image gallery, and more spend your game time ...gaming...discuss guild matters on the website

* Inclusive guild - not exclusive - We don't require you to be on at certain hours, play certain amount of time, or play a certain play how you want to.

If you would like to join, click here and add your name to the 'invite me to fleet' list.

Please join us and learn what it is to be part of a legendary Guild.

Feel free to check us and and learn more at

# 3 The Vulcan Kulinahr Fleet
02-27-2010, 10:01 AM
Greetings Meeno from the Vulcan Kolinahr Fleet.

These days, most everybody is on unique schedules - our Fleet is worldwide, and I (at US EST) often find myself in-game at the same time as my Fleet-mates in GMT-0, and +8. We are a medium RP group, into logic and analysis (as you would expect from the name), and very much into helping each other both to learn about STO and in-game. We have both hardcore and casual members, are not large (but we're growing), and use vent. Our only requirement is that you contribute your knowledge about STO to the Fleet, so everybody benefits from our combined knowledge. We aren't into drama, we don't make the game less enjoyable for other players (even Klingons!) by camping, griefing, kill stealing, etc. Our goal is to enrich the in-game experience for our Fleet-mates, and live out our long-held (decades for me) fantasies about commanding a starship. Most of us grew up on ST in the various TV series and movies, although that isn't a requirement either.

So if any of this sounds interesting, come check out the VKF at - regardless of your Fleet choice, look for the members of the VKF in-game and Iknow that we are happy to help out in the crunch. Live Long and Prosper!

As a representative of the Canadian Federation it is my honour to extend an invitation to you Meeno.

Our members are mature and practical in their conduct. We were formed by casual players whom like to have all the benefits of a fleet without any of the hassles of a rigid command structure. While we may be casual we are very dedicated. Above all else our fleet is about getting together and having fun with our members. The majority of our members are Canadian and American, but don't let that hold you back, we are open to everyone. We have a dedicated Ventrilo server for Fleet communication.

We currently have over 85 helpful, active members and are growing every day. We are active across all NA time zones with an even spread between east and west. There is no 'internet speak', as you put it, in our fleet.

So if you like what you hear, please come and check out our site. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me or any of our other fleet members.

Thank you for your consideration,

The Canadian Federation

Thank you all for replying, but I'm not too interested in external websites. As for the copy/paste recruitment ads, it makes your fleets appear as if they are mass recruiting. Thanks again for replying though.

Good afternoon, Meeno. I think Fleet 1580 has what you're looking for. First of all, we don't mass recruit. Many players are looking for things we can't offer, so we only recruit those posters whom we can actually help. Most fleet members are in their thirties, so we're certainly a mature fleet. And as for "internet speak," we don't have any. We're a smaller fleet, intentionally, because we've found that the game is much more fun when you actually know your fellow fleet members. It also keeps things friendly and civil.

Many of us, like you, are located in the Eastern US timezone, and most of the others are in the Central. We use Ventrilo for in-game voice chat. Our fleet members are quick to team up for missions, whether planned or ad-hoc. Most of our members' main characters are Rear Admirals as well, so you should have little problem finding company on your missions.

We do maintain an external website, primarily for us to communicate with one another outside the game -- posting helpful links, gathering opinions, etc. There is a short application, but its purpose is not to see if you're the kind of person we want -- we want to know what you would want out of the fleet so we can be sure we're providing it. After that, participation in the website is not required. There is no requirement for weekly time spent in the game with the fleet, and participation in all fleet events is voluntary. While we do make use of fleet ranks, rank advancement is based simply on time served in the fleet.

If this sounds like what you're looking for, I invite you to fill out our short application at our fleet website -- it's just to keep track of the roster, and as I mentioned above participation in the site after that point is strictly voluntary. I wish you the best of luck in finding a fleet, and if you have any questions, please PM me.

STARFLEET DEFENDERS is a mature, casual fleet for adult STO players. We are a fun fleet who is more concerned about playing together and enjoying each others company than getting to the highest level. No matter what we do, we will enjoy doing it together. I believe that each member is unique and has something to add to the overall personality of the fleet.

Whether you will be a casual gamer who only plays twice a week or an avid gamer who never logs off doesn't matter to us. STARFLEET DEFENDERS is looking for members with personality!!
100+ plus members canít be wrong!!
Bottom line is when it comes down to it you get an established fleet that has been around since early beta with a mature membership base from all around the world so no matter what time you log in to play there is usually someone online. We have our own website, forums and vent server.

Be a part of a fleet that's going to make STO history, not be STO history in a few months!!
