...look at the difference in DPS between Klingon and Fed factions. Not hating but there are serious balance issues. Don't tell me I need to learn how to play unless it just so happens that all Feds don't know how to play.

This needs addressed soon!

Hmm, not telling you to L2P however I run into a few premades from federation (holla -1st-) that rivals the dps made by Klingons every time so there is no great difference actually...just need to find a team, buildit so you got all bases covered and kick some Klingon rear, then youll see great diff in dps.

ALSO....reason why there is so high dps in Klingon...Hull and shields on federation ships are higher than Klingons hence every time we take down a vessel we get more points since thats the way the vessels are created. Only way to lower the dps of Klingons would be to lower the amount of hull/shields on federation vessels and I am almost 100% sure no federation is going to want that now...do they?

DPS does not always equal a win so I will have to say L2P, because I have witnessed several fed groups playing to their factions and ships strengths taking apart a higher damaging Klingon side.

As we play more and people get better at the game, learning the skills inside out they will begin to realise its about a whole lot of other things than pure damage.

another Feddybear looking for more for his game....

trust me man, there's a LOT wrong with Klingon faction that will not be resolved by nerfing our DPS.

don't judge the state of PvP aas a whole by one bad night.if you think KLingons are so OP, go roll one. if you can get to even Commander before you're eyes start to bleed from staring at a Red UI 4 hrs a night, i might give 2 droppings about what you have to say about our faction. GTFO

The objective is to die less than your enemy, not to deal the most DPS. If you deal inferior DPS, but die less often, you still win. Yes, high DPS helps. It is not, however, required.

Think outside the box (and if you can, find teammates with better boxes).

as much as I hate to admit it a LOT of it really comes down to who you are playing with and against. MANY times I will play with 2 friends, 2 of us escorts, 1 a cruiser, and pretty much every game we end up in top 3 spots for damage on our fedy's. More then telling you to l2p or anythign like that I will say you may want to rethink some equipment and strategies if you are notice that huge of a difference, and try to get a few ppl to play with regularily so you at least have SOME people you know you can rely on as opposed to completely random pugs who generally are only looking out for #1

Boy you guys need to stop being ****** to people on this forum. You're just giving Klingons a bad name.

Fact is Klingons supposed to have greater firepower, while Federation has stronger shields. This is straight from Trek itself. However, Cryptic doesn't give Klingons the Traditional stronger forward shields and weaker rear shields. Which is a shame.

Following your disclaimer: Learn how to play.

Seriously. You're comparing DPS; you are not listing what debuffs you are using, or them. You're just throwing a "they have more dps" without analyzing why; or explaining your point of view.

So unless you tried to understand what's wrong with your dps; and analyzed what the opponent did... don't call for nerf.

I gave you a hint already: damage resistance debuffing... check with your local science officer what his "sensor scan" value gives... ah right; they used it to "detect" the cloaked klingons who make well damn sure to stay out of range of it.

My friends and I were playing a small mining. We usually crush people hands down. We went from pretty well winning the match (It was kling 800 to fed 300) down to 100/150. In the end, we managed to pull the victory off, 50/0. My friend dinged over 1 mil damage that game, yet we were still near well beaten in to the ground.

Damage ain't everything. Also you guys also have a ship which fits cannons. Raptors/BoPs fit cannons, but a BoP is essentially our science ship at the cost of 1 ensign ability (And a ton of health. I am soft as hell in a BoP), and our Raptor is our tac equivalent. Our cruisers can fit cannons, but honestly if you are fighting a Negh'var who is trying to dps you, I would just ignore him. He's only got a Lt. tac.

Honestly, having played a bit of klingon and feds up to admiral, I'd have to say that:

Yes, a lot of feds really do need to L2Play.
