The wasting of supplies is really bad. I have Combat Supply on my tac (?) and as soon as he creates the items (which he does all the time, I thought he's supposed to fill the slots in combat only), everyone uses them. No matter where. Food items? Boom, all gone before you even close the window after giving them to the BO. It would be nice to give each 1 or 2 foods so they heal faster AFTER the combat, not eat everything BEFORE.

Having the minimaps full of BO icons that are really turrets, generators and whatnot is also not too helpful.

Cruel, yet effective and funny at the same time. I've tried sending my BO's to the Ship's Counselor to help this OCD behaviour of theirs, but it hasn't worked yet.

The worst is the Cover Shield thing IMO.

BOs also tend to use up hypos, power cells, shield generators, etc. when idle. Anything you give them, they will "play" with it and waste (in the case of combat devices) with aplomb... Seems the BOs need some major tweaking. Makes me want to load them up with tribbles and nothing else.
I've actually started using that to waste hypos and stuff if my inventory is full, it seems more ethical than just discarding stuff.

Yep same here (but med gen 2) even if I right click the skill and it goes red, which I would presume means don't use automatically. It is rather annoying having to wait up on the officers who have this skill on a simple access base computer mission with no enemies so i just run off and leave them . It is even more annoying on base/ground missions with enemies where you have to wait on them or trying to sneak past a patrol and get busted due to it.

I have the problem as well, tried the skill 2 different times on two different officers, and it still worked the same way (they'd stop whatever they were doing, and they'd drop the medical generator). I ended up getting rid of the skill both times.

I have only ever had this problem with the medical generator. For me, shield generator works fine, as do turrets, and those little hovering combat drones. The med generator would be nice to have on some of these Borg ground missions...I hope it gets fixed ASAP. Something like this should be near the top of the priority list.

same here

my away team and i beam in, and in seconds a medical generator is planted... i get to an enemy engagement and i need to have a med gen and shield gen placed and cant place the med gen till its cooldown finishes from where he planted 2 clicks back in a middle of a daisy field.... and yes, the generator showing up on the minimap as a boff icon really gets confusing as you think you have a away member stuck.....


please add this to the list of needed fixes cryptic,

Trained mine with med gen I and II. had no problems as there is always one available now.

Same here. My officer drops a med-gen, then phaser turret as soon as the cool down allows. Damn annoying, trying to find something else to train him in now just to get him to stop.

same issue here, Eng BOff dropping the med gen, would make it a habit before I start a fight was to wait for the cooldown, setup my BOffs around a corner and "pull" the enemy to me so everything in generated on my away team, but yes it's very annoying.. like Whre's Carlos, oh there he is, making another genrator, Now stop that!! LOL
