Is it me or has something changed in space combat recentley? I usually are in with a fighting chance, without being OP and can stand my ground. BUT since the last patch I may as well be throwing pebbles at the feds and they rip my sheilds down in a couple of seconds, my hull follows soon after......

What happened? Any ideas? Did I miss something or is this another imbalance issue that Cryptic have created?

I haven't really noticed anything different in PvP, even though the past week has had some 150mb downloads / "patches" but no notes to go with them. Since we're left in the dark about them...

My only guess is that you've gone up a Tier?

As you climb up the Tiers, shields do not last long at all. Only time they do is if you pop your shield defense skills like RSP or you're being supported by other players (Extend Shields being a good one). Other than that, firepower jumps up at higher tiers, players get better as they've figured out more tricks. Unless you're Cruiser, your hull will not last long since you have limited access to some of the great hull repair / resist skills out there. Anyways, I recall that everytime I was fresh into a Tier, I'd get shredded horribly until I adapt to the skills being used there and improve my ship's equipment.

simply put, the fed skill level is slowly catching up with the klingon skill level .. you gotta step up your game


winning all the time slowly starts to degrade your skills as the challenge isnt there

losing all the time slowly starts to upgrade your skills as you learn why you lost

I'm lean toward the side that something is different . I suspect the escorts havee been given a bump in DPS. I can't confirm it , but it looks like a particular build is out there that is very very hard hitting, and difficult to take down.

Or Maybe were just getting smarter and learning how to OP stack our skills like klings do.

I aint gone up a tier, Commander 6 at the moment, went and did some more matches with the same result and yeah I kept an eye on the escorts, they are defo hitting harder now.

because they stopped stacking terribad skills and started using GOOD skills? and what about healing, that matters alot too.

nothing has changed in the past couple days, balance wise.

Many of the experienced KDF captains are not playing anymore. Most just get on for the daily and log or play a different toon.

I noticed that I was doing Kling damage lastnight...glad someone else noticed lol jk. I tried out a new weapon loadout up front lastnight and was in the 130-160k damage range in T3 which is a new thing for me. I think the team play has gotten better for Feds. almost every game I was getting heals and buffs from teammates. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't be able to survive long.
