How are they in this? I thought they were only in mirror universes...How do they fit in?

AYe ... it is a T4 level quest I think that explains what's happening.

Ya... the problem is that you face them in "Defend Block" missions before you actually get the story arc missions.

So its a "problem" you find that there is an enemy force from the mirror universe, and who/where that enemy is, before you find out how they got here???

lol...

I have to agree with PhiloPhil. It's a minor gripe, admittedly, but it the fights in Defend the Sector mission feel like they are out of context until you hit the Terran Empire missions.

I had brought this up before, and suggested they swap the Enemy Contacts between Beta Ursai and Alpha Trianguli. That way it would coincide with the order of appearance of the True Way, and the Terran Empire in the story arcs.

It's a minor bugaboo, admittedly, but it does confuse eome people...

They mostly voice it in chat - I hear every so often "WTF?!? Why am I fighting Starfleet??" when doing the exploration missions in Zeta Andromeda. This of course from people who have never heard of the Mirror Universe. Those who have pick up on Terran Empire immediately

Ya gotta admit, if you've never watched any of the Mirror Universe episodes (which you could do by not watching either all of TOS, or by missing some episodes of DS9), it would be a little startling to be killing Mirandas and Centaurs. Side note: In a t4 escort, they got one thing right - Centaurs and Mirandas are cannon fodder Suprisingly, so are Majestics - the only one I had a real problem with at T4 was when they popped a Prometheus escort on me out of the blue. Still got it though without dying

in a way it makes sense, think about it from a ST episode point of view, ship is flying around, gets attacked by mirror universe ships, everyone's totally confused, they go to find out where the mirror universe ships come from, episode over, or something along those lines lol

Agreed. It is definitely in the Trek formula to find out about an antagonist well in advance to why or how they are your enemy.
