hey, (without trying not to sound old, lol) does anyone remember that star trek game on 386 / 486 round the 90's ?

basically it was like STO, but like its pre-historic ancestor dos game

one thing cryptic should adopt from that game, is the puzzeles to sovles on planets, u actually had to think about it, or get spock to do it, not just click "interact" and everything is automatically done for you....

but remember the bridge of the original enterprise, the 2d phasers and photons, the shield status of ur ship on either side of the bridge wall....ah, my God, that was more than 20 years ago.......lol

Star Trek Judgment Rights was a followup to that game. Both of them were really good.

Here's a walkthrough of 25th for some nostalgia:

Fun game when it came out. Hard, if I remmeber as well. They came out with a part 2 which, IMHO was better called Judgement Rites, I think.

I would like to add this from the GameFAQ page:

Quote:
Voice - James T. Kirk -- William Shatner
Voice - Mr. Spock -- Leonard Nimoy
Voice - Dr. Leonard McCoy -- DeForest Kelley
Voice - Montgomery Scott -- James Doohan
Voice - Hikaru Sulu -- George Takei
Voice - Pavel Chekov -- Walter Koenig
Voice - Nyota Uhura -- Nichelle Nichols
Wouldn't that have been awesome to have that much voice talent in this game. I am quite sure that it would have been expensive, but awesome.

And, it was developed by Interplay. One of the premier game designers from that era. (Wasteland, Dragon Wars, The Lord of the Rings, The Bard's Tale, etc.)
