After getting the Exploration Cruiser I was surprised at how slow it turned. I ignored it for a while, until I noticed that my son's EC had impulse engines that gave him a +14 turn rate. My engines gave a +3. So I thought maybe I just picked bad engines without paying attention. I went back to the stardock to look at engines and noticed that they ALL had +3 to +3.4 for turn rate even the MK2 ones, which I knew had a higher turn rate than that. So I went to my old Light Cruiser and checked it, +3 turn rate on it also. I tried assigning it as my main ship...same thing, +3 turn rate. I then logged out and back in and rechecked it again, same thing.

The only difference between me and my son, other than slight skill differences, is that he's an engineer and I'm a tactical officer.

I have the exact same problem, with the difference that I am an Engineer, flying an Exploration Cruiser. Maybe I have to invest points in "Explo. Cruiser Captain" first? Or has it something to do with todays pacth?
