Still at work but the only thing I really predict this do is make that fedball of QQ break up to come find us insteed of just sit there and whine. Very few Fed PVP groups use tactics to stay together then when they start to die just keep running back to us one by one.

So please by all means Feds break up that ball of QQ and come look for us. Just makes it easier to pick you off.

So.. FEDs you happy now? you get Fedtrek Online where you just roll feds because doing anything else would just be impractical and superfluous.

Well thanks *******s this is pretty much a 99% chance my fleet will break up and just go back to Feds(and not PvP)

LOL @ the amount of QQ from klingons in this post. It's too bad this IS a bug, it's the klink players who think this actually makes a difference that make me wonder every day why I still play a klingon. L2P seriously, or maybe try rolling a fed so I don't end up with another shield envy QQing klink who can't thinking outside the invisibility bubble.

Seriously, breathe through your nose people.

Like others have said, there's a Z-axis on the battleground that the map doesn't have. Don't sit at 5km from a sci ship on the same level on the Z-axis and he won't find you any more than he did before. They'll just know Klingons are lining up their shot instead of wondering if there's anyone in the game or the Klingons all left.

If that's all it takes to make you lose and quit, I'm not really sorry.

I understand it's probably a bug, but I wouldn't mind seeing it become a feature. Maybe have ships who can battlecloak invisible on the map while others (including MES if it ever gets fixed) would show on the radar, but not visually.

I am sick and tired of this.

Lets get facts straight.
1. Klingon BOP has battlecloak. They pay for that ability by having less hull and less shields.
2. Cryptic put the federation at having greater shields and hull to balance out the cloaking.

So if Cryptic would make the cloak visible then cloak would be useless and we would require
to lower the hulls and shields of federation players. How many of the federation players would
agree to drop their hull/shields to the same level as the BOP?

I am almost 100% sure no-one would agree on that.

And if they did, what would separate the Federation Players from Klingon Players more than
graphical setup?

There needs to be skills special for Klingons as well as Federation to destinguish the faction.

Some say cloak is unbalanced, well I met federation groups that did not have any problems winning
15-0 in cracked planetoid even with cloaks and all. It is all a matter of learning to play together as a team.
If Klingons do not work together as a team it matters not if they have cloak or not they will get hammered. Same goes with the federation players. If you do not work together as a team, you will loose.

So for all those whom want cloak nerfed and klingons nerfed etc...learn to play as a team rather than want everything handed to you on a silver platter.

It is the principle of the matter. Since the bug was not fixed last night I am becoming more suspicious that they did an end run on us.

Cloak is cloak. Z axis or not. This is easy to combat as all they need to do is fly above and below each other.

Tell me how do I sneak up on someone when they see the red dot sitting over them? You can't surprise is what we get for the reduction in hulls and shields.

If they allow this then they need to just give us the same ships. The feds will still get pawned and then what?

I have no opinion either way as I will likely be cancleing my sub, but for those that are saying that the minimap does not provide a Z-axis location, that does not necessarrily help much considering you cannot point your nose straight up or down. So for those cannon users, like most all klingon ships, ambushing becomes a lot more difficult which seems to be another indirect side effect of this bug. You will still need to do that corkscrew dance to get into firing position, and when the feds see your icon on the minimap spinning around they'll be a little more prepared for something to decloak.

Hope they fix the bug but who knows.

Just saying...

Being a red dot on a 2d map does not equal to being visible.

And since we're getting facts straight, let's.

BoP has a battlecloak. I said leave the battlecloak invisible on the radar but show cruisers and possibly raptors (raptor sucks and needs something special, I know, but that's another discussion).

Is that straight enough?

And the difference in shield and hull is rather marginal. A BoP setup with good defense and backed up by his team will be just as sturdy as a fed escort in the same situation just as my battlecruiser setup for healing and tanking will last as long as an equally geared. There are other tradeoffs for the cloak which come more in the form of the lack of ships in T5, where feds can pick better layouts of BOs and consoles on their ships.

Anyways, no point in arguing with people who can only see one side. But with the cloak as it currently is, if they add FvF queues, there will be very little pvp left for Klingons. I'd rather try to avoid that as I like the 2 factions and would hate to be forced into fighting only my own faction, on either side. If showing some of the ships on the radar is the way to fix it, I'm all for it. Another option would to give cloak only to BoPs, but I'm not sure that would fly now would it?

FVF will be the death of the game. At that point you will have won and will have the carebear game you have dreaming about.
