A bug that involved Romulan Liberated Borg captains and their skills once they chose an ally
I've been playing on Tribble for an hour or so, trying to get a feeling for how the gameplay changes are going to work out. I'm RA5 flying a Fleet Escort and went to the space part of the Infected mission.
Evasive Maneuvers
Only works correctly 1 out of 10 times. 9 out of 10 times, the speed and maneuverability boost was so weak I was wondering if it was in effect at all, which it was, according to the timer. So if you're in the thick of it, don't even bother using that. It'll fail on you 90% of the time.
Cannons Cooldown
When I first read this, I was like "wow, that's gonna be über. They'll surely nerf that". When I was actually playing it, on balance I did less damage than I do currently on Holodeck. Sure, you do get quite some burst damage, but the falloff is so great it renders cannon escorts pretty much useless for solo players. The peak damage knocks out a Cube's shields, and that's it. You can't keep up the damage to actually kill it. Not on the first run, not on the 2nd run, not in the 10th, not ever. By the time you do start to seriously damage the Cube's hull, you're dust. And don't even bother using DCs, you better have DHCs, or you won't even be of any use to groups.
I've read weapon energy is the problem and solution to this. With all cannons firing simultaneously and no cooldown, energy will drop, which supposedly is the cause for the damage falloff. This is not true. My weapon energy was always between 100 and 125.
I know this is just the test server, so understand this posting as a feedback on how things are currently.
