I've had similar experiences where the ground is blinding. It's so blinding that I can barely see the loot.

Thanks for the info guys!

I will filter this out to the correct parties to see what we can do.

I made a post about this a few days ago... this is a really fickle forum

anyway, here're some screenshots:

Exhibit A: http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/842...0022821225.jpg
Exhibit B: http://img171.imageshack.us/img171/3...0022717121.jpg
Exhibit C: http://img144.imageshack.us/img144/9...0022717120.jpg

every once in a while, you might come across a patch of darker floor textures... which shows how beautiful the floor should look (exhibit B and C).

Once we have some shots of the issue, I can see who to bug about fixing it.

I've uploaded the screenshot to another image host, hopefully this one works for ya

Now that I see the images, it's definitely what I was thinking of. I /bugged that in closed beta, and I thought I did it again in live but I forget.

Those are the facility levels I mentioned in my first post, thanks for the screenshots
Im hoping because its a common texture that it will be slightly easier to fix than say the falling through the floor bug which requires individual level editing.

ALL of the those facility levels use that same texture and have the same problem including the one in your 3rd screenshot where it seems the lights have turned off completely in certain squares.

I'd say it's the other way around, in the bright ones, it feels like the gamma is set waaaaaay too high, and the dark ones is the way it should look.
but now I'm splitting hairs again ;)

I just hope cryptic doesn't miss the point and fix it by making the dark tiles bright

oh yeah... I've been to that planet too... there are a few that are similar with sandy bits in a forest where the sand is that bright too...
I thought it annoying, but didn't consider it a bug... cause there were a few planets like that in the shows :\
i'll bug it the next time I see it again.
