Oh, J.Kirk is Dutch. That explains the strange post he posted here a while back. Still has the wrong forum though, would be better in the Fleet forum.

By the way, Amsterdam is a really fun town. Was not there long enough for my tastes and hope to be back some day.

You can always use Welsh, I don't think anyone outside of Wales understands that (j/k I love Wales, especially Cardiff)

Is there a limit on the amount of consonants you can have in a row?
I would so love to name my ship the U.S.S. Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysilio gogogoch

It's not all consanants (-2sp) I got three ships named after Welsh stuff
USS Caledfwlch-Arthur's Sword in the Stone
USS Carnwennan-Arthur's Dagger
USS Rhongomyniad-Arthur's Spear

Don't ask me though how to pronounce any of that

My engineer's ship is the Nijmegen. All of her ships will have city names from the Netherlands. I'm thinking Eindhoven, Rotterdam, Den Haag, and, of course, Urk.
She's a joined Trill so her name is made up but it is pronounced as if it were Dutch: Kirthanzijkxje. (Keer-tan-zake-sheh)
I love The Netherlands, but I don't speak enough Dutch to hang with the Dutch fleet. I'd be the stupid American tourist... something new and different for me.

Six consonants in a row.

The most the English language has is four in "munchkin.'

Which doesn't even count, because it's a made-up word.
