I've read several different answers on here -- you can autofire 1 weapon, you can't. I really apologize if the answer is out there somewhere and I just can't find it. Just please humor me: is there a way to set one weapon (phasers, photons?) to autofire? And if so, what are the steps? I've messed around in the controls over and over again, but the only way I can "autofire" my phasers is to either click on the button or to press the spacebar. Is there another method and I'm just too stupid to figure it out?
First make sure you have autofire option selected in escape manu.
Then simply, right click on weapon icon. It should turn green. When it doess, your weapon should autofire when you have an enemy target selected.
At the moment you can select one front and aft weapon. So 2 total.
But there is a way you can double this. Put the weapons you wish to autofire next to eachother then qickly right click both of them. With time and practice, you can get 4 weapons on autofire.
I have 3 aft turrets set green, and one frontal beam
This still does not make up for the lack of full autofire so expect to pound at your spacebar anyways >
