I guess you can't really explain Zim that well, but a lot of people seem to like it.

That's actually Miho of Megatoyko fame. I guess the closest thing to describe her is a dark magical girl who seems to enjoy manipulating others. She's got a soft side, though...an interesting character.
Yeah, would be like describing The Venture Brothers.

To give you an idea of the state of mind of the shows creator, he had all the windows of the animation offices who were responsible fro drawing Invader Zim covered in Red Saran Wrap, for two reasons. 1 it looked like blood, and 2 the fact that it looked like blood, made the animators paranoid and thus made the show even pore insane when the paranoia showed up like this (excuse the lame cover) on NICKELODEON.

on a side note the creator of this "childrens show" created this comic known for its kid friendly nature

im sooooo surprised it got cancelled. yep. soooo surrrrprissssed

Well, yeah. And he found a way to make his madness contagious. And Nickelodeon gave him an outlet for that insanity (and then marketed it to children) and after about 1.5 seasons realized it was the nightmare of an insane person and canceled it.

Still want it to come back though.

And that was the Halloween episode. There are couple other episodes that border on disturbing. In non-Halloween episodes that had Nightmare Fuels like:
  • evil alien babies
  • an evil teacher that might be a malicious specter and does so much walk as float
  • turn people into bologna
  • the cute robot covered in blood and gore
  • an episode where the main character steals as many organs as he can and replaces them mundane objects...and treats the scenario as funny
  • and episode where the main character is assigned to a special training program over the course of which he violently kills off his entire special forces team
  • an episode where the main character projects images of horror and chaos to make people buy candy bars made from sawdust
  • an episode where there was a 50 foot long slime covered 'louse queen' under the skool that was messily applying lice to the students...and a special forces team dedicated to combating them
  • one episode had Zim going back in time and pelting his nemesis Dib with stuffed pigs to drive Dib insane or kill him
  • Zim makes a friend, who turns out to be a creepy stalker. Zim builds a machine to rip his eyes out and replace them with lens that make everything the poor kid sees appear to be Zim.

well, heres the first line from the wiki entry on his latest work, Everything Can Be Beaten.

"This short story is about a masked character named IT, whose life consists of staying inside of a small building where he uses a hammer to smash kittens that fall out of a chute"

Sounds like my kind of guy.

I am in possession of a game in which you play as a girl in some extremely creepy lucid dreams...I'm talking nightmare fuel stuff.

I have the entire series on dvd. Its one of my prized posessions. I still hate Nick for cancelling it because they couldnt get children interested in the show. >.>

Don't forget "Zim Eats Waffles" in which Zim experiments on a kid by inserting a giant electronic screw in his brain that forces him to be happy all the time, and "Game Slave 2" in which Gaz goes Michael Myers on a kid name Iggins when he stole the last Game Slave 2 (Game Boy/DS) from her. At the end Iggins was supposed to die when the elevator crashed, but Nickelodeon forced the animators to add that silly ending.
