I have been playing for a while, and STO hasnít turned out the way I had hoped, but I see that Cryptic are working on different stuff to improve the game. I actually have several suggestions, I wonít post them all until I have played for a while longer, but there is a few things that would make game play more fun for me, and probably other players as well.
Traveling from system to system and even block to block can take a while sometimes.
Had it been possible to maybe plot a course while we were in the bridge and maybe se the area or galaxy map on the view screen? As it is now, the ship doesnít move while visiting the bridge, and maybe be able to replicate stiff while youíre in there as well.
Sitting in the captainís chair.
To be able to sit in a chair, you first need to jump on it and then find the emote to sit, and you can do that several times before your character sits right.
In World of ********, you simply click on the chair and your character sits on it, perfectly. What if when we toggled our mouse over a chair we got up several sit emotes, chose the one we want, and makes our character sit on the chair perfectly, make it more interactive. That goes for all the chairs, not only the captainís chair on your bridge.
It would also be more fun if you could visit different parts of your ship, like engineering, the mess hall, holodecks, storage rooms and the sick bay. I would guess having an EMH would be standard Starfleet issue on any Federation vessel. Also, having your own EMH as a part of your crew and along whit you on some away missions. After Voyager returned to Earth from the Delta quadrant, they would probably get to work on trying to copy and make more mobile emitters.
Yeah, another one, not sure if itís planned to be added later, but it would be fun if we could access the Federations database, which would be like a Star Trek dictionary where we can access files and read up on events that had happened from the STO story lines and from the series and movies.
If youíre uncertain what antimatter, warp field, different circuitry or other different materials and systems parts is, you can just look it up.
And be able to access this database from one of your ships consoles and space stations.
And, being able to upload your own content, like your biography and experiences from missions and RP events.
If that were possible, I could spend hours in my captainís lounge drinking coffee and reading up on other playerís story.
