No, im not talking about FBP. I went head on in a science ship against, to no one`s suprise, a BoP. It opened fire on me, burned down my forward shields and then suddenly cloacked. What he or she left me with was some form of electrical DoT of sorts, burning me down slowly but surely til i went bom. Highest tick was like 5k.

Now what the blazes is this for a nefarious ability im not aware off?

I assume you're also not talking about jam sensors, with the additional damage being the BoP shooting you in the face and the 5k being a torpedo? It leaves a little sparkly effect on your ship.

Your combat log would have told you what all of those damage sources were.

That might be it. And jam sensors turns the hostile ship invisible of sorts, no?

Correct, the jamming ship and all its weapon fire will be invisible to the jammed ship.

Judging by the description...

That sounds like the sparkles left by Jam Sensors.

In which case, there was no "DoT", as much as he was still shooting you. You just couldn't see him.
