Will some of the more enterprising fleet leaders please get together as a group and contact Cryptic to represent Klingon faction concerns? Cryptic may not understand, but they sent a clear message with the 45-day update that Klingon players are 3rd rate customers. Someone with standing needs to explain to Cryptic that they are nerfing a nearly dead dog, that giving the Feds 3 new plyable species and off-duty clothing while handing bread crumbs to the "other faction" is causing the death spiral to accelerate.

The Klingon faction needs immediate CPR or it is going to die. They need to install consentual all-tier open PVP. They need to give their "art department" the mission to provide Klingons character/ship customization with a minimum of HALF the options Feds have. They need to put away the nerf bat as it applies to things Klingon until the Klingon population stabilizes and the faction is healthy.

Perhaps they can't see the need thru all the chatter, the fanboi posts and flames. But they should have a clear view of the numbrs, which can't be all that great.

Call yourselves the High Council if you like, but other than some assembly of fleet leaders who else can speak for the Klingon faction as a whole with any authority?
buy me a some jelly babies and i'll do it

I have found that the Federation can access the entire Romulan Empire( 10 sectors and systems ) and 1/2 a sector in the Klingon empire. Giving the Federation 19.5 sectors to roam about willy nilly as they feel like. Unfortunately the Klingon Empire is still stuck in 6 sectors and can not access into the federation sectors or even the Romulan Empire's 10 sectors.
To a Klingon that is and true to the fact of totally unfair as far as being able to access other sectors like the Federation. According to the Cryptic theme of this game that federation and Klingon's are at war with one another because of the war the klingon's started with Gorn and the Romulan's. If we were to follow this theme that Cryptic has based the game on. Then wouldn't it make since that the Klingon's would cross over into federation sectors and be present in the Romulan Empire's sectors too? Considering that the Klingon's and Romulan's are at war with one another still.
Or is the theme of the game been conviluted and missed labeled and miss titled? Seems to me that the title of the game should have been called Federation Online. Then you can play federation only and fight NPC's for the other faction's.
Based on the theme of the game the two main factions are Federation and Klingon's as they are at war with one another again as usual. But seems that the developers are still nerfing the one faction over the other. Mainly they are nerfing the Klingon's to the point where Federation seem to have super shields and super weapons. Being a Klingon and trying to fight a Federation is like shooting spit balls at them as they throw bricks back at the Klingon's. Nerfing is annoying and makes players that play the faction that is being nerfed just want to cancel their subscription and not play the game and gives them a negative attitude to be told to others not to buy the game. To me that is bad reputation for a software company that is trying to put out a good game. If Cryptic wants bad reputation and wants to lose profit and subscriptions then keep nerfing the Klingon content. Thus causing the Star Trek genre to suffer in popularity more like the other developers have done in the past.

There's no point in speaking for the Klingon faction.

It's dead.

It was dead and not knowing it before the game was released.

It was dead the minute Cryptic made the bonehead decisions of making the faction too PvP oriented, and not giving it as varied content as the Fed side. From that point on it was destined to just be a modified version of LotRO monster play, and there was no way the faction was ever going to draw enough players to play. Unfortunately too many of us fell for the out and out lies Cryptic people were spouting, and held out hope that they could right the ship relatively quickly after launch. We see now they really never had any intent to right anything. In fact they're intent on only making it worse, and shifting their attention elsewhere.

Blaming the downfall of STO on Atari or CBS is childish. It's fanboism at it's most desperate. Always the other guy's fault.

Cryptic negotiated the deals. The blame lays squarely on them. They laid out the game they wanted to make, and continued advertising THAT game for almost a year and a half, if not more. So in truth, for most of that time they were falsely advertising the game through omission of information regarding the changes being made.

If they couldn't achieve that then the onus was on them to either fight for delaying the release of the game, and if they couldn't delay it they should have simply said they were done with it. That's what they should have done if they respected the source IP at all.

Now we have unbalanced people trying to convince others they should continue to pay for an unfinished game, and yes, using the term unfinished is valid when discussing a mmo. There's a huge difference between a mmo continually evolving over time, and a company knowingly releasing an unfinished mmo with not even close to enough content and then expecting subscribers to finance the game's completion up to a point it should have been at release. The latter is the game that Cryptic seems to be trying to play, and I suspect it will be a pattern for them in the future if we the customers don't put a stop to it now. It's up to the members of the mmo gaming communities to not let them get away with this.

Not now, nor in the future.

We all need to cancel our STO subscriptions as soon as possible, and never give Cryptic another dime. We need to do this to send a clear message to other development companies that they can't try and pull the same underhanded crap as Cryptic has pulled with STO. There will soon be an organized "front", if you will, to make sure what Cryptic has done to ruin STO is never forgotten on any site related to mmo gaming. I hope most of you that have not given up in anger yet will join that effort when you finally come to your senses.

Been done for over a month now. Unfortunately I fell for the BS they spewed about fixing the Klingon faction and payed for a 3 month. Funny that the only achievement they can be proud of regarding STO is how well they've lied to people all along.

If you would like to voice your thoughts and opinions please join the United Council of Fleets. Our mission is as follows
"The United Council of Fleets (UCF) is an organization devoted to bringing together people who are interested in enhancing the group gaming experience in Star Trek Online (STO). Our members consist of both players and non-player organizations, including Star Trek fans, groups, STO Fleets and individuals. The United Council of Fleets will inform our members about issues related to STO, particularly those that effect group and fleet play. The UCF will also solicit information from our member base on gaming issues. This information will be presented to Cryptic Studios with the goal of helping the development and long term success of the studio and STO."

Thanks for your time,
