I run Semtuk, so if you ground pvp you have almost certainly fought with me.
I haven't noticed anyone who really stands out in space yet, very hard to stand out in space pvp (plus I suck at space, so I wouldn't know good from bad), but in ground it is much easier to identify the really good ones. The super damage dealers aren't the PvPers who impress me most, rather the folks who make everyone else better. My short list.
Klingons who rock in my book:
Morbo (even looks like the real thing)
I also want to say a healer named Gibbs or something like that, but I don't remember 100%. Several others whose name escapes me. The Vixen Klingon girl fleet has some seriously good pvpers, fun to group with late at night.
Only three feds have caught my attention.
First is Lash, a tactics guy who isn't necessarily super skilled, but enough of a strategist that he will smack you hard when you least expect it. I appreciate his brains approach to PvP.
Second is Black Death something engineer. He relies on bunker stuff alot but doesn't have too, he has skills and is a pleasure to fight because he makes himself so darn hard to kill.
At cmdr/captain lvl watch out for a fed tactics officer named Security Escort, who plays a tactics guy and blends in by acting like and looking like the NPC Security Escort. His is a very clever approach to stealth in plain sight, and he has good skills to match his creativity. Like most PvPers I got in the bad habit of ignoring NPCs because they aren't the main threat... he will remind you otherwise.
Emeralk.....LOL last time ouyr fleet met him in PVP he quit after we went up 6-0 and finished all the games 15-0
why would you nominate someone that is serious weaksauce.
There are lots of klinks out there that are good PVPers the only one i hate to fight is Kant, his all science officers in BOP teams are the klink I WIN teams
as for feds its DOB members all the way.
On the KDF side it's Emerald. Grouping with her is much more fun than against. With either the cruiser or carrier, she is tactically proficient and always able to sustain the fleet action while dishing pew.
On the FED side it is Aliel Jorax <sp> hands down. The guy can straight up bring the unending headache in team play. He plays his sci-ship to a T while saving a teammate and simultaneously saving his own hide from focus fire. He and his crew are always the best matches vs KDF pre-mades.
I always like these kinds of threads in a PvP-based game
Let's see... I always note players who are good, it's names I'm terrible with, so there are lots that I'm missing, I'm sure...
Stitch captains one smart escort, and its probably the most adept ship-killer I've seen pilot a Defiant. I wonder how well he's doing now that he's in tier 5?
Spork definitely deserves a mention, it was nearly impossible to crack his shields last night. For all the crap Fed cruiser captains have to put up with (and I should know), he took a beating like a champ, and made us work for any ground we gained (which wasn't much).
Hobnob is one name I distinctly remember from last night; I tried sending hima tell to congratulate him on an excellent performace, but I think he logged off before I could. Deserves a mention!
There are more, and they're on my friendlist (some, anyway), but I can't remember their toon's names.
Galinax has been the kind of support that wins a game. Been fighting alongside him sicne I met him back in tier 2 or early tier 3. Sometimes his heals scare me at the sheer scope of them.
Roet is another that does heavy damage and knows where to place his shots. Good captain, kinda quiet.
Tavo is kind of the same deal as Roet, only a little more vocal; lately I've seen combat alongside him more often which I can't complain about.
Mesome has been a powerhouse since we've met, and we make a good tag-team with our DPS. Definitely deserves a mention!
There's also G'kar, and as my brother it might seem a little odd to give kudos to family, but he's nonetheless my most prominent wingman and a scary mix of offense and support; plus his Negh'var looks awesome.
I know I've missed out a lot (particularly on Fed side), but there are definitely some notable PvPers who not only know their ships, but they know good sportsmanship as well. To you all, I salute you and look forward to any future engagements with you!
