UPDATE! We are also investigating reports of slow patching and are working on a resolution. For a better patch experience, please restart your launcher. It will pick up where it left off and should be faster to complete.

I've decided to start rewatching TNG, starting with season 1. Normally, I hate much of this season, but rewatching it after a few years is refreshing. Sure, many of the episodes are lackluster and I can't stand the Dixon Hill stuff, but overall, it's not so bad.
I'm on disc 2, and so many of the episodes have those "little speeches" about humanity's progress, etc. etc. It reminds me of why I fell in love with TNG when I was 12.
Please share you fav or worst moments concerning the first season of tng. What did you like and dislike?
"The Last Outpost" - I expected the Ferengi to be totally the opposite of what they later became in ds9, but it still seemed fairly consistent, just a bit too grovelling and snappy. Not a terrible episode but not great. 7/10.
"Where No One Has Gone Before." -I always hated the Wesley stuff, but I still enjoyed this episode. Being thrust to the far reaches of the galaxy and not knowing how to get home... the arrogant warp theorist who is proven incompetent, and Picard's scholarly angst. This one was pretty good. 8.8/10
Lonely Among Us- Picard gets invaded by an entity. Pretty cool stuff, showing that TNG took risks where later shows rarely did. The makeup for the fighting aliens onboard was terrible. The main engineer dies, so I'm guessing that Geordi will replace him soon. 7.5/10
My all-time favorite TNG episode is in the second season... "The Measure of a Man" on disc 3. Season one had it's moments but as with most Star Trek series' it takes three seasons for it to really take off (one and two being feeling-out seasons--discovering character habits, back story, etc).
