There were a couple Klingons, a Ferengi, and a Borg that would walk around in character for photoshoots. They were pretty good too, one chastised me about not having Admiral PIPS on both sides of my lapel, as was proper. I explained that having only one set on my jacket signified I was retired, so he let me live. The female klingon could toss insults with the best of them; she had a phanny that could crack walnuts so I suspect that was a honed defencive skill.
I always wanted to go to the Experience.
I can remember a theme park attraction--at I want to say Paramount King's Island in the late 80s/early 90s where they had a beaming effect kinda thing. It always seemed cool to me.
a friend of mine was doing a shoot at the hilton in vegas, where he is a film student. In his own words "walked in from the parking garage and was immensly confused to find himself in star trek, albeit startrek where instead of lcars panels, there are slot machines."
though most of the experience has been moved, alot of the architectural stuff has yet to be replaced even though the area has been filled with slot machines.
My wife and I got to experience the experience twice before it closed. She wasn't even a star trek fan but had a good time. A couple weeks from now we are going back to Vegas for the first time without the experience there but I'm glad to hear that it may make a comeback next year some time.
I thought it funny that some of the slot machines in the star trek area were star wars themed.
