# 1 Four Digit NCC in the C-store
03-19-2010, 08:24 PM
Would you like to see 4 digit NCC in the C-store. I know I would and no I wouldn't get 1701, but I'm all for 4 digit numbers. We have TOS uniforms ,and Old school Connies , Let us have 4 digit NCC. You would probably make a killing in the C-store on this.

This would be a waste of money... Give us real C-Store purchases before this...

Considering the time era of the game to have such a low number would be like trading in a Ferrari to run around in a 1979 Ford Pinto. Sorry.

Cool! I'd go for that... the ship numbering thing is pretty arbitrary anyways so, unless it's some sort of odd contract/canon thing with CBS Paramount, I can't see why it would be a big deal.

I believe it was stated a while back by a dev that that is indeed the case. They were allowed use of such high numbers "just in case" CBS wanted to make another original-continuum series/movie and still have room to not step on toes with the game. So I doubt we'll see low numbers ever. Sorry.

Excellent idea, Captain Lang! I think I read somewhere though that the registries having to start with "9" was a CBS/Paramount demand.

Maybe Cryptic could work it out so we could have them. On older era ships like the Mirandas and Constitution Refits, the four digit registries would look a lot more fitting.

Wow. Way to be constructive. I wonder what a "real" C-Store purchase is?

I'd have to vote no on this, though. We're up in the 90,000+ range! I think all the registry numbers between 1000 and 9999 have been used up, long ago.

The USS Los Angelas' Hull number is SSN-688, it was commissioned in 1976....

The Latest incarnation of the USS Seawolf's hull number is SSN-21, it was commisioned in 1997...
